Why would any party continue to fund a scheme where the participants decide to stop paying their rent for 4 years?

    Should be.

but if that's the case. What's running the country is an illegal drug user who's drug habit funded criminal gangs.

Right man at the top? or is there another way to do this ?

So we are allowed to look at a person back history and question it then grand so

    Sure, no issues there.

What are we going to do with Leo? his drug habit fueling criminal gangs.

Blood on his hands. (another one)

Or do we think it might get a bit silly ?

The one they spent 90k on which resulted in Leo embarrassingly having to pull vidoes from?

    Money well spent.

Post a story on a good job by a TD from another party and I'll come in and clap along with you.

    Maybe this, oh wait

No beds for 2,655 people in Irish hospitals this week.

470 people are waiting for beds this morning, with the highest trolley figures in:

    UH #Limerick: 54 people
    UH #Galway: 46 people
    #Cork UH: 42 people

    *clap clap*

    Important issues.

I wonder why ! Anything to do with letting the non work classes breed to there hearts content at public expense !

While the fools struggle to pay there taxes and bills in the hope they may have a child or 2 before there biological clock runs out !

U would have to wonder at times who has the intelligence at the end of the day ! Is it them or us

    Oh,

Yes, sure absolutely I could. As I said.
    You say you can....
If this was her plan from the start I'd be more than happy to condemn her.

But as she's a mother with 5 kids and a sick husband etc I'd like to understand more about what happened. Why did the payments go sporadic. What happened in the fall out.
    ...yet you don't.

Why won't you condemn the actions of a person who steals from a homeless charity?

    Speaks volumes.

<que wheeling, and spinning, and dodging, but no condemnation>

I think you should be able to ask get answers and not be shouted down with but but the other sides. Now how far you go with it I agree can get silly. I mean if it was 1 joint and realised it was wrong then so be it would be my answer

As I said. Happy to. If I knew more.

But I think the fact she's offered to pay back the 12k says a lot

We need more TD's who if/when they're not found to do the right thing. To do the right thing. I'd love to see all the falsely claimed expenses back

Maybe then we wouldn't need to take 20m from the disabled.

But yeah mother of 5 sick husband etc. get her!

We can't get the answer as Leo believes in keeping illegal activities in the past private :)

Another point on violet Anne as already has been said ! She never entendres to pay ! They said her record was appalling from the start
If she couldn’t afford 60 why not 30 ? 20 even ! Surely she had money at some stage of the 4 years in and out from maternity wards !
But she made a decision not to have birth control even though it’s free to her with a medical card , conceive children at nearly 1 a year and yet live rent free !
But the social welfare department choose to fund her at the cost of our health care and education of tax paying people !
And someone voted for this bum , dress it up or down as already has been said but these are the facts ! Sinn Fein put her on the ballot paper there responsible !

Stop speaking out of the side of your mouth.

She said she'd pay rent. She didn't. So, yeah, it says a lot alright.
But yeah mother of 5 sick husband etc. get her!
a thief who robbed from a homeless charity, you mean.

That's why I'd like to hear what the fall out was.

Looks like there was payments, then sporadic payments. Would seem odd to do this if the plan was to never pay.

Then there was the fall out and then no further payment.

I'd just like to understand that before lashing into a woman with 5 kids and a sick partner.

Right so now we know he did. So he's funded criminal gangs. Our leader.

Fit to be a public representative ? To be the leader of a country?

Kids looking up to him to etc ?

Standards only seem to be asked of the few.

She had at least 2 of the kids while he was allegedly sick. Common sense (and fiscal responsibility) would have meant putting expanding the brood on hold for the rest of us, but when the state funds all aspects of your life then you don’t really need to worry about that. Better to add more kids and stop paying rent than meeting your financial responsibilities if you can get away with it.

If 12k in arrears sunk the charity, I doubt it was viable.

It's likely that if they were letting her get away with it, there were others too. She was a well-educated individual (on paper) with access to opportunities. Now if she could walk all over them, imagine them trying to get money out of other, more "hardened", chancers?

They also brought her to the High Court, no? That wouldn't be cheap either. You could say that that would have been a waste but they also couldn't be seen as unwilling to take any action so I presume that they did so in desperation.

It's mad that there was a fall out. Was this between her and the charity? I wonder what on earth could possibly have lead to a deteriorating relationship between them.........

Sure that's all down to non SF policies

Dublin City council was paid 78m€ in 2018 in rent.
Average rent was 252€ per month.

THE LEVEL OF rent arrears amount tenants of council housing in Dublin city has risen by over €4m to almost €33m during 2019 with 25 households now owing the local authority at least €27,000 each.

The latest figures show around 60% of tenants are in arrears with over 5% of tenants owing at least €7,000.

Surely a logically step is ensure rent is deducted automatically from either earned income or social welfare.
There must be another huge pot of money spent on collections from across all departments.

There is also the destruction of property that goes on in council houses again all paid for.

Every single person has a form of income either earned or from social welfare - all outstanding monies should be deducted centrally or charged against future liabilities like earned income, job seekers, pension etc.

Nothing should be totally free such as travel, doctors, prescriptions.

As we have seen in the election the everything should be free brigade is on the cusp of taking over.

And your favourite scrounger Violet-Anne took full advantage. And then some, to the time of 12k rent arrears, from a charity. Lowest of the low stealing from a charity.
