    I stand over it.

I'd like to hear more about the landlord and what was going on.

    Where's the slur?

Keep back tracking, standard Sinn Fein supporter

Thread is exactly what I would expect from a Sinn Fein government, pointing the finger at everyone and trying to throw slur on good people names, new low I do admit that Sinn Fein and its supporters go after charities now

PS limnam the “I didn’t vote for Sinn Fein” was found out after the first 20 pages of you defending them

So you have no problem constantly calling out people for who they did or did not vote for, but when asked the question yourself you won't answer.

That's a different level of cowardice.

Surprised cronin's planning permission issues haven't come up in this thread yet.

Possibly because FF was helping her :)

Some interesting clarification on this topic, since deleted.

Sounds like the "landlord" may need to pay back some people himself if that allegation is true.

Violet Anne-Wynn deleted that post because it was untrue and libellous. She might have another bill for posting it.

Boards shouldn’t be giving any oxygen to lies like that.

Ahh some people seem to have no standards, charity robbing is ok

Personally I have bette standards for myself and I would never vote for any political party that have little to no standard

The people of Kildare really stuck it to the elites didn’t they?

the Quinns asked then Fianna Fail Finance Minister, Charlie McCreevy, to lobby Kildare County Council on their behalf.

Mr McCreevy — then a Cabinet Minister — did so, writing to the council on official Department of Finance-headed paper.

Are you questioning the facts of the story? Even you must see what a truly appalling candidate she has turned out to be.

    Ahh the insults start......

I’m calling people out for defending someone who robbed a charity

I can ensure you the people I voted for, haven’t robbed a charity and actually do provide assistance in the area plus at a national level

    Below is order

    1. FF excellent politician
    2. Independent great work in area
    3. FG resolved issues for a load of residents in area and was a good politician at national level last time

Open to you trying to question the below if you want

I would burn my vote before I would give to Sinn Finn although in our area SF got in, not a single person I know have any idea what the guys has done in the area EVER, so yes it was a protest vote and now everyone is left with some useless person from SF to try work with for next few years

As I said I would prefer SinFein to get into power so we can kick them out quicker, If FF/FG go in together we will have wasted seat in area for 5 years

Only problem is if they get into power you might never get them out ! They don't care about democracy.

    Lot of entitlement here folks.

“Despite not having valid planning permission, the couple continued building — and wanted to add on further unauthorised outbuildings such as a block of four stables — even as Kildare County Council initiated enforcement proceedings against them”.

The then minister for finance was more than happy to help out.

Obviously didn't see too much wrong with it :)

Her online presence at the time must have been low key

Mr Connoloy: He said that having determined the agency had to cease operations altogether he sought and got agreement from Clare Co Council to take over the management of the 21 houses.

But in order for the council to take them over they must be first brought up to a local authority standard, and funding from central government has not been forthcoming, he said.

Interesting looks like the house she was in was not up to local authority standard.

FG were not willing to fund that. Wonder what standard they were at.

I wouldn't be happy about paying rent for a sub standard house. The council wouldn't have been able to move anyone else in anyway as they couldn't afford to bring the house up to standard. I wonder if they were left idle

    Lol.

The local authority will have a standard for houses. They will want everything the same. So, if for example, a long time tenant puts in a new fancy kitchen at their own expense and passes away soon after, the council will require that it be pulled out and replaced back as it was. Even though the new one is better. So to say it was not to the LA standard does not mean it was a dive. It more likely means that some jobsworth felt there was some box that wasn't ticked. House was likely above the standard provided by most private rentals.

Ms Violet was under no obligation to accept the house from the charity. Nobody would have forced her to. She was what - 23 - and recently graduated (allegedly) from the most prestigious university in the country and scrounging for a new house. But she did accept it and presumably lied and agreed to pay the 60-quid a week in 2011. As soon as she had the keys to the place though it seems that herself and hubby decided that money might be better spent on viagra and/or hash.

But true prophets like yourself know that she made that decision in 2011 because there would be a failed case taken by an ex employee against the charity in 2013. How incredibly prescient of her. :pac: .

Why didn't the hubby also use that as an excuse in his drugs trial - "well your Honour, the reason that I had those illegal drugs in my possession is that there was a man who used to be employed by RRI. And when people stopped paying their rents, and the government stopped bailing them out, he was let go and sued RRI unsuccessfully for wrongful dismissal. Therefore, it is obvious that I do not have to follow any rules or laws". :pac:

She mentioned been left high and dry.

I wonder if this was in relation to the standard of the house.

As the local authority were not willing to take them back till they were up to standard and FG would not fund them.

So were these house left idle and the council unable to house anyone further as the finances were not made available ?

Again maybe there is more to all this and why I wanted to know more at the start

More and more comes to light each day.

    Whats not in my head.

Houses not up to local authority standard.

FG pulled funding from the RRI.

FG wouldn't fund bringing the houses to local authority standard.
