Rolling Stones - Paint it Black - this match is a FIX - FIXXXXX. Well I like neither of them so I tihnk it unfair that they are up against each other and neither should be going through, but if I had to pick it woudl be this one

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit - love both songs, but I grew up on Smells Like Teen Spirit and I never get sick of it. Would happily see it win another comp.

Nena - 99 Luftballons - thankfully this is the German version (the superior version) as I feel the song didn't get as much love in the '80s comp as it was the English version that had been submitted. It's a great song to dance and sing along to, I love it, and I really don't want to see Bohemian Rhapsody pick up another trophy.

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac are one of my favourite bands and Go Your Own Way is certainly one of their best songs, so would love to see it move on to the Semis.

Thin Lizzy - Don't Believe a Word - this was the toughest decision of the Quarters, would gladly see either of these songs move on to the next round as both bands are iconic, but I'm keeping it Irish and voting for Phil and the lads. It helps that Don't Believe a Word happens to be my favourite Thin Lizzy song of course.

Nirvana - Not many songs define a decade. Somebody to Love is a very fine song but not quite good enough.

Nena - One of my favourite songs. Again, pity Queen weren't up against the rubbish in the final two match-ups.

Abstain - The over-35s can fight among themselves in this match-up.

Abstain - One of the most overrated songs in the history of mankind vs. A song only here because the band is Irish.
