Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Game on. Missed the first 15 mins but so far Sheriff have not looked anything special, definitely don't seem any better than Celje from a few weeks ago based on tonight anyway.

    Much better link, thanks.

    Deserved that goal.

    Sheriff are really rough

    Get in there!!

Nothing to be afraid of from Sheriff.

And the Faroes side are beating Tbilisi at half-time too. Huge 45 minutes coming up for Dundalk. Group stages are within reach. They are playing well. Lets finish the job.

Come on the town from a Shels fan. Beautiful header

    Tbilisi are 2-0 down. Christ.

What an opportunity they have here.

    3-0

Gone 3-nil. Whoever wins between Dundalk and these will be home

    Four nil to the Faroese

4-0 now to the Faroes. My initial joy at seeing them going ahead has lessened with each goal they score. Now I'm thinking maybe these fcukers are actually a good team...

Tbilisi have been poor in Europe this year. Lost to Tirana in the CL 2-0 at home then snuck past Connahs Quay 1-0 in the round before this.

5-1. Have Tblisi had a load of positive cases in the squad lately?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Extra time now. My nerves :o

Christ I thought they had it right at the end.
They've been easily the better side in the second half without really testing the keeper.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,254 ✭✭✭joeysoap

    Should really be ahead

I see Harry Kenny has joined Wexford as their assistant manager. That's a bit of a coup for them. While he struggled as our manager last year he was assistant manager when we won the league in 2013 and seems like an allround good bloke.

That's what I checked at 2-0 but the squad looks the very similar to one from a league match last month.

Over 2 legs Dundalk would be laughing.

Pity didn’t they play this way against Celje

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

Sheriff look a midtable LOI team at best.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,442 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

    Sheriff don't look bothered.

Dundalk should've had this won in normal time. Surprised Duffy went off - he was very lively

    Terrible game of football this.

What’s the europa league prize money on offer for the group stages this year?

3 million in prize money I think. We'll be kicking ourselves if we get bet by these journeymen

    Sheriff don't look bothered.

they're just not very good. Sligo, Pats, Bohs and Waterford have given Dundalk harder games than this.

    Has the shoot out started?

    EDIT

    Yep 1:1 so far.

Well done Dundalk, great chance to progress further in the comp as well.

Congratulations Dundalk. You should have beaten them in normal time..

    Perfect penalties from Dundalk.
Who's at home in the next round or is it back to two legs? Golden opportunity if they're home against the Faroese. Cannot believe they beat Tbilisi 6-1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭fatbhoy

Great to see no social distancing with Dundalk celebrating the win...they'll all have covid and Rovers will win the league. C'mon the hoops!!

Better team until 2nd half of et from the bots i caught at work. Fair play. New guy passes first real test too, some nice play.

Fair play to Dundalk. Sheriff were fairly poor but it's the kind of match most LOI teams would have thrown away. Excellent opportunity to get to the group stage now.

One leg tie in Ireland next week.

Must be the easiest run to a Europa League group stage ever.

They have to take advantage of the opportunity next week!

Well done Dundalk, great pens and a cracker of a save from Galway Utd legend Gary Rogers.

Dudelange from Luxembourg done the same from last year- had to play teams from Macedonia, Estonia and Armenia to make the groups.

Looking at the playoff round ourselves and KI got the best draw, all other "Minnows" got horrible draws

Gotta say, some balls on Shields with the last penalty. Proper sprinted up for it before burying it.

To be fair, on paper, Sheriff away wasn't exactly an easy draw given they regularly make the group stages.

If they beat Klaksvik from the Faroe Islands next week they are in the group stages.
