So..we've had the best songs of the decades, not let's see what we think are the best music acts. We will start with the 80s

Please PM me 10 music acts.

Acts can of course be solo acts or groups.
The act must have released at least one studio album during the 80s in US, UK, and/or Ire

Wondering should I go with the less obvious ones on my list. That does run the risk of everyone else thinking the same and the biggest bands and artists of the decade being omitted.

But then it would be cool to see the “not as big” bands fight it out.

Fire over your top 10 and the rest as wildcards, I will consider them if I need to later.

I actually went for very obvious choices, all pop artists that were quite big in the 80's. Only one of them that only had less success but they are one of my favourite bands of all time, so I had to throw them in!!
So I would welcome a few off the beaten track choices!!!

The nostalgia led me to 80s movies which led to the entire brat pack males all in one movie. Tonight I’ll be watching The Outsiders as I completely forgot about it!

We have 107 acts now, still waiting on Strawbs list. If we get no more I will add wildcards made up of the best selling acts of the decade. Will get the contest kicked off this week.
