Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Moving kitchen sink, dishwasher and washing machine

Wondering if anyone involved in building could give me an expected rough cost of this.

Looking to move the units that contain our kitchen sink, washing machine, and dishwasher to a different wall in our kitchen. So re-plumbing would be required, as well as the labour of moving the units etc.

Not making any other structural alterations, and not buying any new units or appliances. Just looking to a get a rough price on the labour and plumbing involved.

Total width of the units is about 2 metres. The house is semi detached and the units will be moving from an outside facing wall to another outside facing wall at the side of the house.

    Thanks

Does the appropriate sewer go down the side of the house you propose to drain to? Or is it feasible to take the pipes to the existing drains via inside the kitchen (is this a good idea?). Are there power points on the wall you are moving to, how much chasing and moving of cables is going to be necessary? Where does the water supply come from in relation to the new position, can the pipes go round behind presses (which may involve moving presses) or is there a door or similar in the way? Too many variable to answer without a plumber looking at the job.

There are drains at the side of the house where the units are moving to which gutter water runs into. I assume these could be used?
There are power points there already so no need for these to be installed.
No doors in between old and new location so pipes can go behind presses if needed.
Distance from old to new location is about 10 feet. Old and new location are effectively part of the same outside wall, just further along.

Water from gutters probably goes to soak pits or similar. If they do go to the sewer then, yes they could be used, but more likely they will not.
