Currys writing off tv

Hi All Just wondering has anyone been through or know how this process works. My tv was taken away by team know how (currys extended warranty) The tv is 2.5 years old and when I called today , they said is to be written off as 3D is no longer available so can't get parts. Do they offer cash or another tv etc? Thanks
