Can a mod change the title from ‘Don’t Panic!!!’ to ‘Prepare to Panic!!!”?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,015 ✭✭✭Ludo

People in this thread are very ignorant of the fact that even if they get it and have mild like flu symptoms they can pass it on to others and elderly people who it is very serious for. I wonder would they be so blase if their parents or grandparents got it?

It's a very very serious virus that could have massive social and economic impact not to mention kill many people here.

No idea why they don't care

No matter what side of the stockpile/no need to panic divide people are on, we should all at least agree on the above surely. Looking out for others should be a given.

    Why are you not worrying?

Its here ...on the island of Ireland already. Confirmed case in Belfast.

Would you worry if you were in china? Its going to spread exactly like that here now?

Were you worrying yesterday? Because it was here then too, its likely been here for weeks. Good news is this person is already in a hospital and the NHS will be tracking down everyone they've had contact with. But there will be more cases for sure.

We are worried and monitoring how things play out definitely will be staying away from crowds for the foreseeable.

    So whats your advice then?

Stop obsessing on this thread and go and get some exercise, vitamin D supplements and hand sanitizer and use it a lot when out and about.

    Stop trolling, nobody is panicking

So you think it makes no sense to take reasonable precautions?

I’m not trolling and I take it serious.

But nobody should be telling others how to behave mentally.

    Take precautions. That’s it.

Don't worry Simon Harris has this situation completely under control by getting the Rugby match called-off while still continuing to let those flights land in Dublin

Shut down Dublin, make Cork the temporary capital, build a big wall around Northern Ireland.

5 new deaths in Italy today seems a high number... do we know we're they related?

I think he's still self-isolating after contacting his GP until the test is confirmed?

On a general note, I'm not sure I have much faith in people self-isolating...

Edit: Seems he's receiving specialist care, whatever that means. They keep updating the website (which is a good thing, of course).
