When reading movie reviews I usually read the Guardian's take on any given movie last. It can usually be relied on to take the most po-faced view of all.

I actually like Peter Bradshaw. He's dryly funny, and often decides to like films you'd never think he would.

They say never read the bottom half of the internet, but below-the-line, Guardian readers beat the omniphobes of the Mail hands down.
Funniest thing I ever read was a BTL Guardian comment, but it's too horrible to repeat. Got 900 likes though, so I wasn't alone.

And the Guardian has the wittiest crossword setters. IT crossword is awful - avoid.

Currently subscribed to NYT, WP, Guardian, Le Monde and recently Die Zeit - though my German isn't yet good enough to read without a lot of effort [/humblebrag]

Honestly, that’s a bit of an outdated notion at this point. Many below-the-line comment sections are excellent. Even Youtube, whose comment section it was once prudent to avoid, has made it worth reading the top few comments since the upvoting feature was added. The cream now tends to rise to the top there and you get some absolute gems of comments, usually funny ones.

I take all my cues from that bastion of journalistic integrity, Alive! magazine

You buy edition? Thank you please.

    RTE are nothing but propaganda.

Out and out spin and lies.

Climate change propaganda is going to be used to introduce carbon taxes on basically everything!.

Imagine being so brainwashed as to think paying taxes will 'save the planet'

like saying an asteroid is going to crash into Earth so the government introduces a asteroid tax and everyone believes the tax will work.

Those degenerate extinction rebellion idiots really are beyond stupid.
This is a thread about reliable sources. Do you mind telling us what sources you feel are reliable and trustworthy on this topic?
