pond diffuser in septic tank?

Is there any reason you can't use a diffuser intended for ponds in a biocycle style septic tank?

Looking at getting something like this. Mount it on something attached to polyurethane rope so I can lift it out myself for maintenance purposes, and also keep it clear of sludge

Submerged fine bubble diffusers appear to be the best option for wastewater treatment so it should be effective if it works.

Maintenance of diffuser assemblies require physically entering the tank so the main advantage would be avoiding the need to do that.
