The tinker site was like someone dropped a bomb on it with all the cars and scrap around, and yer wan inside roaring and shouting.

No, it’s settled people going in dumping their rubbish in the halting site.
Pavee Point have been giving out about it. Travellers don’t dump rubbish.

That can't be true... come on... who the hell is going to go to a haulting site to dump their rubbish?

You'd want to have balls of steel. I've ended up in one or two and you're watched like a hawk till you leave.

According to Pavee point that’s why there’s so much rubbish in the halting sites. I’ve no reason to disbelief

I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the bit where they were showing social media clips that some of these scumbags post... showing them flashing the cash and showing "their usual haunts" and there's a clip of them getting 3 in 1's from Hoi Wun.... hardly a display of wealth.

It goes to show that most of them are thick cnuts with no aspiration, regardless of how much money they're making.

If I was making 2 grand a day or whatever that fool was going on about, I'd have my sights set bit higher than a 3 in 1 in the back of a car in Finglas Village.

In fairness, it just goes to show that you weren't paying attention.

The clip at the Chinese were of people not from Finglas, taunting their rivals; showing they were at their local Chinese. This was said by the Garda speaking at the start of those clips.

Fair enough. Still though, if the rivals going onto their turf = going to Hoi Wun, my point still stands.

You expected them to suddenly start turning up at L'ecrivan in chinos and Dubes?

Yeah it's on the Virgin website

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,830 ✭✭✭irishproduce

    I see it now. Thanks.
Is there more than one episode? Virigin site only showing one episode

I think if you clip on latest you can see the older one, bit of an odd system they have going there.

That was Mr Flashys (Glen Ward) house that was petroled bomed and raided at the end of the program
I can never understand why media cant name the big eared prick

That was at beginning of the program. Also it was the place that was referred to as the club house and not mulhuddart but Ratoath drive and the second time they mentioned it seconds later edited out the Ratoath part.

We need to urgently build a few prisons in remote places I.e. Spike Island type.
Make it difficult to do prison time too because they don’t fear it now. Make them fear it.
The Judges are obviously told to go easy on the sentencing because of lack of spaces available.

Yes it is that, but also the judges are members of the law library and so by leaving these people on the streets, the under-employed solicitors who aren't good enough to get professional work, will get all the free legal aid stuff.
They are all part of the same circle.

Refreshing that Virgin showed it. If RTE ran the documentary there'd ne'ar have been a mention of travellers in it. God bless em

Someone needs to tackle the Friday evening copper wire fires along the N32 and the chop shop directly outside the Northpoint NCT centre, public shaming might work but it's a bloody disgrace the fear that's out there.

More likely they consulted Spin-Doctors after the plethora of Garda scandals a few years ago and their advice included greenlighting a show like this.

The Coast Guard evidently did similar after the Rescue116 and Caitriona Lucas tragedies, as they've come out with their show of the same format recently.

The coast guard were on the multiple times, in fact Captain Lucas appeared.

There has also been multiple shows about the Gardai over the years.

    No winning with some people

The Gardaí gave back over €1m back to the government from their 2019 budget, could of been even closer to the €2million mark.

    Out if 1.76 billion.

I really doubt they knew at Christmas that they would have 1 million left considering Christmas overtime wouldn't have been totalled yet

Episode 3 on tonight at 9pm Virgin Media One & will be on the app I think tomorrow at the later. This one is centered on mental health, it must be a huge huge issue for anyone living and Gardaí working in that area. I'm sure there is alot of decent citizens going about their daily lives having to put up with horrendous scenes and intimidation. This will be very interesting to see.

Is this supposed to be on tonight? My sky guide is saying google box is on at 9pm.

Hi Lee. “Due to the nature of content in tonight’s scheduled episode of The Guards: Inside The K which deals with themes of mental health and suicide this programme will be postponed to a later date”. ^Monica

Probably legal action from one of the scumbags forced them to postpone.

We were able to watch it on catch up thingy on sky. Couldn't understand at the time why it didn't record. Nothing too controversial in it tbh.

They had a couple of self harm incidents, the audio from a 999 call where a male died from self inflicted injuries, video from where 3 Gardai risked their lives to rescue a suicidal male from a bridge and av from the funeral of a female garda who died by suicide.

I thought it was a well balanced episode that showed the compassionate and courageous side of predominantly young Gardai. No amount of training will prepare you for the emotional side of some of their calls. Can't understand why the episode was pulled, I would imagine it was more to do with a specific piece of content rather than the general topic.

Missed last night's episode and for some reason it didn't series link. I have been looking on catch up throughout the day but there is no sign of it. Anyone know when it is likely to be added?
