Brian Kerr needs to be taken back in too.

Did I hear he's on some grassroots committee under the new regime?

With the Independent now looking for subs to pay for "quality journalism" it's worth remembering the nauseous film they paid Barry Egan to make about John Delaney called 'John The Baptist'

It's like something Waterford Whispers would have made when they were any good

Anything with Barry Egan on the page isn't worth balling up and throwing in the fire, in case you acidentally spy a few words of it.

Like when he called the Aviva stadium Delaney's "gift to the people of Ireland".

True. He could do Masters Course without Leaving or Bachelors.

Jesus Christ did he actually say that?

I had some dealings with him last year through work,I had a bad impression of him beforehand,
    It was much worse afterwards.

Barry Egan once did a review of a Bruce Springsteen show at the RDS for the Sunday Independent that he never attended.I was at the same show.Poor Barry's review was a work of fiction and very different to what I saw and heard.

I was sure it did, although I can't find it quickly right now.

This is from a review of the article on punditarena.com

"One of the most contentious passages in the entire piece was the assertion that “in 2010, John effectively gave the sports fans of Ireland the greatest stadium ever built in this country, the state-of-the-art Aviva.” The inaccuracies in this point are manifest. One could point to Croke Park, the fact that the FAI own but half the stadium or the fact that they are still €50m in debt, with their repayment plans utterly failing."

Journalism to be proud of, there.

    That's a happy tale.

It would make me sad if a ticket to The Boss was wasted on that charlatan.

Unfortunately he wouldn't need a ticket as he would probably have an all areas access press pass had he attended.

I'd say Tubridy probably doesn't even know where Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians or Shelbourne are from.

Shamrock, the Czech Republic and the Shelbourne Hotel.

Literally bumped into Quinn one day out in Donadea forest. Nearly knocked a cup of coffee all over him. He apologised even though it was my fault.

    I like him.

Check this video out so 1min 2seconds if you don't want to watch it all but its quiet funny,

Roy changed all that that and to this day he is hated for Saipan.

Reminds me of years ago some time after Saipan. I was on the phone to my mother who knows absolutely nothing about soccer. She mentioned that she had been "watching an interview with Roy Keane on the Late Late the other night" and he was a lovely fellow and she couldn't understand why everyone was giving out about him.
I watched the repeat a few nights later and discovered it was Robbie Keane that was on.
Had a good night, Liam? :D:D
