At least two reasons in your ad you may be held to be discriminatory on the enumerated grounds.

What if an interested party is currently unemployed and/or doesn't have a previous landlord?

That's tough. Too great a risk for the landlord

The implication in such ads is that an unemployed person doesn't even deserve a tiny bedsit. In addition to that, I'd love to know what makes the bedsit particularly suitable for a 'professional' and not, for example, someone who works on the tills at Tesco, a mere seven minute walk away.

    The cost.

What if an interested party is self-employed, so doesn't have employer references. Or is an international student being funded by their wealthy parents? Or is an escort?

I'm just curious why they need an employer reference - is it to prove a regular income, or to prove the person won't be at home 24 hours a day, or is it a character reference.....

    !

Is it a separate bedroom with a door?
    Or is this information misleading?

    Mod Note

    I’m gona lock this thread.
As much as people need housing, boards is not an advertising platform.

Mod Edit following a report that the thread should not be locked as the charter allows advertising single properties.

The A&P charter allows regular posters to advertise their own properties from time to time.
This posters first post in the A&P forum
Is to advertise their property, hence the lock to avoid more posts on discrimination, etc etc
I have the OP the benefit of the doubt and left the thread visible so anyone looking can PM the user.
