Gooseberries: do they need acidy soil?
I've had 4 bushes in my garden in ordinary soil for some years, and they don't produce much fruit at all and any fruit they produce is tiny, even though I feed them.
    Any advice?

More or less neutral soil. It needs to retain moisture but not be water logged and nutrient rich.

Gooseberry don't need particularly acid soil but definitely benefit from manure being added before they are planted. What do you mean when you say you feed them?
