    Unreal,Savage mileage

Yeh I was happy with that. I reckon the only way I could improve it would be to do one continuous journey.

    Jeez. Where’s the progress?
My 15 year old LC with a 4.2 ltr engine has averaged 24.93mpg over the last 3.5 years.
It did peak at 25.01 back in December but a bit of fast heavy towing has dragged the average down a fraction.
That’s using an app to keep track of actual fuel used instead of the onboard display which usually shows 28-29mpg.

The progress is all on the emissions really.

The progress is all on the emissions really.
Emission figures are influenced heavily by the amount of fuel used.
Latest studies are actually proving that new vehicles are producing MORE Co2 than the models they replaced!

2.2 diesel Accord, mpg should improve when it's fully run in

    I'm almost 29.

    l/100km is more logical.

Wow, from all your other post lately I would of guessing you were about 60.

    Anyways

    e90 320d

    On long runs I usually get between 49 - 55 mpg and that's doing 120 - 130 km/h.

On short runs I'm only getting low to mid 30s and I well believe it was my old 1.8 petrol s40 was no better or worse.

Lighter right foot Sir. :D On the Mazda front, a mate of mine has an RX8 in his stable and if he sees 20MPG he's chuffed. :D
Psssh where's the fun in that :pac:
Mazda is a Mazda 6 2.2 diesel. English yoke so the 185bhbp model
Mine used to see 300km if driven easy... Driven hard you'd easily empty the tank in 120km :o
I could eek 400km out of it doing a lot of motorway driving, although there was days when I'd be late for work and that'd drop considerably :D

I had a 3.3 litre straight diesel Nissan patrol in the 90’s, 31 mpg which I thought was fairly impressive and that wasn’t driving like a granny.
Thats a beautiful engine. Beautiful in every way, from its dawn cacophonous chorus to its effortless simplicity.

I'd love a 90's patrol with that engine now. Actually, I'd love an 80's Jag or Rolls with that oh so Irish conversion to the otherworldly 3.3

Up there with the best the diesel engine has to offer. The 6BT, the OM606 and the XUD

    50 ish mpg.

1999 Audi a6 Avant with a proper torque converter box. 1.9 110hp afn engine.

Probably one of the best engines VW has ever made.

If it's a UK or Ireland accord should be well run in by now? They stopped production in 2016?

    2019 VW Polo GTI
Average is 36mpg / 7.8l/100km since new (calculated using brim to brim method)
    Best ever was 50mpg / 5.6 l/100km on a ~320km drive.
Not bad for a 200bhp 2.0ltr turbo petrol

Driving at 110km mostly N11 M50 just to see best I could get

    23 mpg or 10.2l/100km.

09 325i. It loves the petrol. And injectors. And fuel pumps.

    Is that only city driving?

Im at 9l/100km (~31mpg) over the past 20,000 km with mainly city driving but also 1-2 spins down to cork and back per month with my 08 325i

edit: I think yours is 23 US mpg which is about 28 UK mpg.

A6 141, 2 litre diesel. Just back from a Dublin Limerick return trip and car showing 5.9 litres per 100kms which is 48 mpg in old money.

Now I was going pretty fast most of the way

Did same trip at 110kmph one time and got 5.0 litres per 100kms or 56 mpg

    1990 mk2 Suzuki Alto f8b 796cc
Daily drove it all last week and it did near 43mpg (6.62L/100km)

Not bad considering that consisted of plenty of choke on cold starting and leaving it idling to warm up/thaw out.

I certainly didn't drive it with economy in mind either.

40 mpg 2litre Volvo diesel, 300 k on the clock, used to be better

    BMW 520d F10 (225'ish bhp) anywhere from 58 to 33mpg

58mpg is very sedate driving, cruise control set to 55mph on a constant run with no traffic.
3x mpg in sport mode with my foot planted against the carpet with no regard for those red circular signs with some arbitrary number.

A/C and heated seats are a constant.

Aircon doesn't seem to make any difference. I've mine on permanently the last while and noticed no difference in MPG. Heated seats are also a godsend these mornings.

What apps are you's all using by the way?

Just the onboard fuel calculation via Idrive.

I don't care about fuel consumption. I usually fill up at the cheapest circle k, and I get an 8c discount on the pump price .
