    Hey everyone
I wonder if someone could give me a bit of help or guidance.

I stupidly cut the external bell box wire in the hall.
I thought it was the old Telephone cables.

I don't think I need the external bell. Anytime it went off by accident neighbours would more complain than check out.

So I have taken the wiring out of the panel in the Quantum.

I am not able to remove the wired device as the system cannot find it.
Obviously because I cut the thing off.

Even with these wires out the system is in tamper mode.

Should I replace the tamper resistor and if so would anyone know where to get one.

Is there an easier way to isolate the Bell Box by telling the panel not to look for it.

    Thank you in advance guys.

Put a 4k7 resistor in the panel Ret/ bho

    Open up quantum 70 panel
Take the wires out of BHO AND RET.
    replace with a 4k7 resistor

These is a resistor in external bell if you have access to it.

    Thank you so much David.
I've taken all the wires out. See my pic.
I'm sure it is okay, seen as it is no connected to anything now.

    I really appreciate your help.

Does it matter which way the resistor goes in.

Once again thank you so much

I can't believe you are still going helping people out.
You have helped me out in the past many years ago.
Thank you so much for replying again.

I wouldn't really be able to get to the bell box.
Is that the blown resistor is after I stupidly cut the wire.

Do you think a resistor in the 2 terminals BHO and RET in the panel will bypass it.

    I really appreciate your help.

No problem pconnolly79, always happy to help and yes Im helping awhile now :D

The resistor would not be blown.
You can pick them up on line, 4K7 resistor is what you need if you dont have access to the bell.
This will close off the tamper for the bell in the control panel.

The resistor goes into the BHO and tamper return.
It does not matter which way it goes in.
