    Hey,
I'm looking for info regarding transferring a policy. My partner is looking to insure her first car in Ireland. She has a full Irish licence issued in 2015. She currently has a policy in her name in Italy with Allianz on her car there 9+ years no claims, clean licence etc.
Can we transfer her policy to the Irish car here sticking with Allianz? I suppose my question is do we have to apply as new insured driver or can we apply as a renewal? Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks

New country, new application, new business.

That said, I'd get a letter from Allianz in Italy confirming your 9 yrs NCB, and start with Allianz here. You should get some recognition of it, but it's not guaranteed.

We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
