At least you know Greta is a puppet of the elites.

    That's a start.

People so so delusional they think a teen from Sweden can become World famous just by holding a sign in Stockholm without the help of the money men.

Trust me anyone World famous has the big boys pushing them!.

But the teen from Germany doesn't have the support of these money men, so how is she world famous?

You think this is an odd thread?. You have lived a VERY sheltered life if someone speaking against climate change and carbon tax nonsense is odd to you and oddest thing on boards to you!.

Pay it away when it comes in I won't be!.

Anyways the media are taking note. Have to laugh , anti-Greta. No pro truth!.

We aren't destroying the planet we don't need to pay carbon tax and the planet will outlive all of us by billions of years!.

Speaking against climate change is weird, a middle aged man going on like that about a young girl is just a bit creepy.

Also this isn't football, this girl isn't a team that you support and back no matter what. People supporting politicians and even parties in that manner rather than judging them on their merits and arguments is a major part of what's causing such a wide rift between right and left. Again, if you're looking to blindly follow something (or someone) without thought and entrench yourself in a camp, go support a sports team.

She isn't World famous, handful of articles here and there. She doesn't get a pushed like puppet Greta does.

Speaking out against paying climate change carbon tax is weird??!?!? That's weird to you?

Can I ask do you live in a cave or something?.

People can have opinions that differ from the pro carbon tax brainwashing we get on a daily basis.

It's still legal for now (probably bring in a climate change denial law such is the nonsense going on these days)

You call a 19 year old woman a young girl?. You know you can be divorced with few kids by that age!.

Why can't you do FACTS shes a young woman. Not young girl like you lies and hysterics.

Nice try twisting things but fail

As for me being middle aged?.

I find it creepy when pathological liars insinuate something from nothing myself personally!.

Why are you so worried about all this? Have you less money than you would like or something? I don't think you can blame Green taxes for that, do we even have any in Ireland?

"You call a 19 year old woman a young girl?. You know you can be divorced with few kids by that age!."

That topped off with the exclamation mark and the full stop? Too much dude.

Yes, the so-called "carbon tax" on various fuels. In practice, for example in the case of liquid fuels such as DERV, gasoline etc, Revenue call it Carbon Charge Component 'B' of the Mineral Oil Tax and it is levied per 1,000 litres:

    Because it's all nonsense.

I'm not really worried it, sheep will always lap up any old crap the climate alarmists come out with.

    carbon tax is great? Yeah!
The planet will end very soon? Yeah!
You will have to sacrifice petrol cars?. Yeah!

People will believe anything based on this crap.

Of course I have less money than I would like what kind of question is that?.
    Who doesn't want more money?.

    Come on!.

But we all have to start somewhere. From wiki:
Naomi Seibt (born 18 August 2000) is a German YouTuber and professional climate change denialist, employed by The Heartland Institute.
Seibt has to date not refuted this description.

Who funded her appearance at CPAC? Was she put up in five star hotels by money men? Is she not being trotted out by those who support the fossil fuel industry? If Thunberg is a pawn, then Seibt is likewise being used. If you have any capacity for critical reasoning, you must see that she is being used by people who happen to share your opinions- hence you don't like Thunberg but you do like Seibt.

Very clever. There must be huge money in that Greta Thunberg gig, it was only a matter of time before someone launched an alternative act.

Anybody who thinks that this woman is any less of a 'front' for vested interests than they accuse Greta Thunberg of being is happily deluding themselves.

note you said "than they accuse greta thunberg of being" rather than "than greta is" ie: you dont believe that greta is a puppet being told what to say for vested interests?

why do people get so demented about climate change?
why do fully grown men act like fanboys of a swedish teenage girl?
the whole thing is weird af.
i got into a heated argument with a climate change nutter recently who accused me of not caring about the world because i use air travel a lot. simple answer "shut up you are full of sh!t and your beliefs are rubbish"

these climate lunatics really need to just stfu at this stage.

just because you are able to post links to "science" and "research" doesnt make any of it right. it proves that you are willing to swallow any and every piece of garbage that is shown to you in the media.

Do you think putting things in quotes makes them not true. You are undermining your argument a little. "science"

Do you have an argument apart from shut up, wah wah I don't like it. Fair enough if you don't care about the environment say that and be honest instead of just calling it ****.

My point is that if somebody criticises Greta Thunberg for being a puppet, they should have the consistency to recognise that this Anti-Greta is exactly the same thing.

But, in fact, they don't give a sh!t about consistency or actually making any kind of rational point, it's nothing more complicated than 'this person is just the same as what I'm criticising but she says things I like so she is an independent and fearless spewer of truth.'

For the record, I think Greta is earnest in her beliefs but has been used, manipulated even, by people and groups who see the value in her as a figurehead of a movement.

I don't know if this woman is earnest in her beliefs - she seems to have started out with anti-Islamic stuff before making a turn into climate - maybe she just started to take an interest in it, or maybe she decided that opposing climate change is where the real money is.

Whichever it is, I've no doubt she's likewise being used by people who see value in her as the figurehead of their movement.

thanks, i genuinely value that. it's well reasoned and you're right. i do think that both are being "used" - however, i suppose i'm more on the side of believing what i personally believe, and that is that people (particularly younger people of college and school ages) are completely devoid of thinking of alternatives to the constant narrative they are given about climate change.
basically, i dont belive the hype.

i do respect your well balanced approach however. it's more nuanced than my own outlook and you have a decent way of writing things, but that wont stop me holding my own beliefs or not believing yours either...

i guess my argument is simply "shut up" because climate people, or "climate cvnts" as i call them just wont stop hounding others and trying to get them to join in their delusion that the world is about to explode

Giving people hope while keeping them in prison isn't a nice thing to do.

Hope is all well and good. We are still imprisoned by the conundrum of how do we keep our living standards without damaging the planet.

People are demanding freedom. We don't want to have to choose between living standards and saving the environment. We want to be free from fossil fuels and natural disasters, forest fires in Oz crazy storms that keep coming.

Giving a man hope but never letting him out of prison is purely for your own control over him.

There's a middle ground on climate, one can acknowledge that humans really are f*cking things up beyond belief while disagreeing with the proposition that it's average citizens' lifestyles as opposed to industrial and corporate corner-cutting that's primarily responsible. Personally I'd argue that industry and overpopulation are the primary drivers of human induced climate change, but everyone's focusing instead on what kind of lightbulbs people use and whether they have an open fireplace. Which of course suits the powers that be down to the ground.

Yes but at least if Naomi is a gobby teen hey she isn't asking for money for carbon taxes.

People on here so taken in by the climate change crap that they WANT to pay carbon taxes KNOWING it won't make a blind bit of difference.

    Let me ask you.

If the Earths core was to explode and this was known and it would end the World and governments brought in a core tax what's the difference?.

If the planet is screwed (it's not it will outlive us by billions of years a child knows this) what good is paying taxes going to do?.

NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. CARBON TAX IS BIGGEST SCAM EVER.

Billionaire Dan Pena admits it's a scam, sure greedy phuck like him wishes he came up with the scam as he admits here!.

So least with Naomi it's not going to hit the pocket of working class people.

Also don't let those on here see you posting Greta is a gobby little teen. They will all be crying into their Greta pillows tonight!. :P

Exactly. The cognitive dissonance is quite something.

Also, just because of not liking the idea of climate change, doesn't mean it's all nonsense or all who put stock in the extensive research are preachy types.

I understand questioning it for sure, but outright denying the lot of it - why?
