    How's it going guys?
A group of us are heading to Waterford for a stag. Planning to be down around 2 all things going to plan, having a few drinks and then breaking it up with food and back to the hotel to get ready. The question is if there is any advice on where we can head in the afternoon and to finish out the night?
We aren't going for a wild type of stag (as in really don't want to be going to any nightclub) but would be more inclined to go to bars(a late serving one would be great). Again wouldn't be mad and wrecking the place, the most noise made would be the end of the night when someone might come to the conclusion that they can sing a song.
    Cheers for any suggestions

Well boi...you dont say how many are in yer group.
Dont be stressin it...but get down to Barrack st before 2-call into Mary in Hickeys bakery and get a hape of blaas...there mightn't be any crusty ones left...but ya could be lucky...get into Molloys the butchers beside Hickeys, get about 20 quids worth of red lead, thats yer grub sorted....bag o cans,,a few flagons,,work yer way over Mayors walk into Ita Mordants for a freshener, make yer way to Tap room, then the Exchange bar..after a few lively ones in the Exchange, than ask to be directed to da Stony Steps---work yer way down there...have a rest, crack open a warm flagon and make a few red lead blaas--this should bring ye to about half five.Once yer finished yer grub(make a few for later...youll thank me in the morning kid)get on down to O O'Connell street.
this should bring you to around at 6ish...the world really is yer ashtray boi---loads of great bars down there...Tommy Meaghers,Tullys,Downses for a game of squash or snooker, whatever yer tolerence to the aul sauce is..
Ideally making yer way to the Peoples park before 12 for a bit of dancing in the bandstand..the lads down there probably put up with yer singing an all---we Waterford lads are sound like that..!!!.
    Have a good one butty!!!

Tully's on O'Connell St. is a decent spot for afternoon drinking and will have sport on the TV if you're after that kind of thing. Geoff's on John St is also good but no TVs. The Reg bar would be a good spot for later in the night. You don't need to go near the niteclub in there to have a good night.

Staying on O'Connell Street/Quay area for the night could be an idea too - Tullys, Tom Maher's, Uisce Beatha, Downes however none of these are late bars unfortunately.

Phil Grimes is another good pub for pints, pool, darts in the evening time. Bit away from the others but worth a visit.

O gradys at the waterside. Decent pub grub / pizza / gout for a nights drinking.

Was at a stag do down there last year didnt think much of the nightlife but I'd reccomend Grattans Bar for daytime scoops. We were very well looked after in there.
