Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Matchsticks to fill the largest part of the hole and wood filler.

The matchsticks should give the screws something to grip into in the absence of the chipboard thats been taken out. Don't over-tighten the screws.

That's the man. Glue matchsticks into the holes cut it back flush and screw it back on.

At least half the doors in my house are held on this way!:D

    Not sure about that!
The screws are about half an inch. Would I need to hollow out the existing holes to insert the matches?

    Tap them in.

What’s on the other side of that hinge?
    Longer,thicker(8s)screws should do it.

    The cooker.
Might be able to use longer and thicker ones.

If there is a gap between the cooker and the press you could get a cup bolt and push it through from the cooker side, through the hinge plate and then tighten a nut onto it. It'll be a lot stronger than screws
