I think the council should have installed the large bins and portaloos tbh

Ya, I'd be wary of the portaloos tbh. Within a day or so, they'd either be toppled over, have drug use in them or have someone having sex in them. Does need more bins alright though.

    Great to see littering?
Great to see antisocial behaviour in a residential area?
Great to see bottles smashed on the road?
Great to see bins stolen and set alight?

    Yeah, great.

Great to see people out smart ass

Cllr Mick Finn is quoted in the Irish Examiner calling for the Army to be called in to support the Gardai in dealing with the crowds at The Lough etc.

Cllr Ken O'Flynn is calling for local access only to Bell Fields.

Pretty sparse crowd v last time out, although the video cuts off before the entire crowd passed by, so hard to judge.

You'd think they would help put an end to it by putting on a mask? But nope. Just anti-everything by the look of it.

End the lockdown, open things up again and these are the people who won't be wearing a mask and then it happens all over again.

Fair play to all speakers and singers at protest , it was brilliant.

Indeed. PUP should be stopped for all of them.

Brilliant? Did you learn anything? Or was it just an echo chamber of nonsense?

That’s the worst thing about this whole pandemic. We’re dependent on the weakest link doing their bit... and there are a lot of stupid ****ers out there. Idiots who’ll moan and fail to understand that there are consequences for their actions.

Half of Europe fighting the 3rd wave and we've genius out wanting restrictions eased when we are 2 months away from having over 70s & much of the vulnerable protected.... Shameful

But they had flags! They needed to show people that they are Irish by having flags, they really, really need to show this don't you know.

    511 cases today.

    2 deaths.

In hospital: 242 (62 fewer than this day last week and lowest since December 23)

    ICU: 65

Doesn't seem like they gave a county breakdown yet.

Only 300 at the protest.... They called for more every Monday in towns across the county.

What happened to people being responsible for their own waste and bringing it home with them?

Personal responsibility went out decades ago for much of the great unwashed.

AGS were tipping alcohol onto the grass earlier around The Lough so what goes around comes around is in play thankfully.

I don’t know why the HSE didn’t just commission something like the Voxpro driving license system... they seem to have an IT aversion.

The admin dead weight need something to do.
If the system was centralised and computerised half of them would be made redundant.

Are people allowed drink alcohol in these public places or is it banned?

AGS were pouring opened drinks onto grass at The Lough, rightly so IMO. It's not a beer garden.

Oh my god! I walk my dog here and go for runs. Honestly, during the day the Wella / coffees fields is so nice. Haven't been down there at all this week.

Is it bad during the day? I'll have to avoid it! Thank god I didn't run down there today!
