Big gathering of anti maskers in Dublin yesterday.

If the cases in Co.Dublin go up put them into lockdown.

That is the last thing they’ll do, unfortunately. Dublin and Kildare continue to account for over half of our daily cases, with Dublin’s rising considerably. They’ll blame “population” even though we have shown that population means sweet f all.

Sorry but it wasn’t a big gathering - it was just a few hundred. I don’t understand why RTÉ et al give a soapbox to these nut jobs. They even went so far as to report what some of the non-expert speakers said (“there is no evidence that wearing masks, blah, blah, blah...”). The media are facilitating the spread of fake news which is worrying and a little bit sad.

    Of ~130 yesterday, Cork +2.

Of 61 today, 39 in Dublin, 13 in Kildare and the remaining 9 cases are in Cork, Kerry, Laois, Limerick, Longford and Wicklow.

Our numbers still remain really really low.

Did you see them social distance or wear masks?

If the protesters were compliant I would cut them some slack.

The Gardai should have powers to break up these pointless protests.

They announced on Friday in the press release that there were 6 cases in Cork. (23rd, gives figures for 21st).

    That's Friday's figures yes, I'm talking about Saturday's.

On Thursday, the NPHET statement said Cork +7. But then on Saturday in the cases by county they give Cork as +6. They didn't give a figure for Cork on Friday. They usen't talk about county data daily and then later HPSC releases the case number for two days prior. But now in the NPHET statement they tell you the amount of cases and two days later the HPSC data is included in the NPHET statement, but they don't add up. Unless they're being reassigned.

    FFS

So 45 for the month instead of 50. Sorry ACE not having a go just trying to get it straight in my brain.

It was an anti face mask protest. Idiots each and every single one of them.
Led by charlatans: "The group is led by Maeve Murran, a “kinesiologist” and anti-vaccination campaigner, and Kelly Johnson, a homeopath who has claimed vaccines can cause autism."
Jim Corr approved of the protest. That tells you everything.
They wore masks when scuffling with the Gardai though.

If Cork is on the list at all, most of time it seems to be in the “remaining cases are in .....” section. Which is good.

Good to see them detected and contained.

Jeez, these meat factories are a hazard. Total kips by the sound of things.

We're very lucky that the Fermoy outbreak didn't get out of hand

Annoying no clue where these cases are. Then again, i guess we're meant to keep our distance anyway so shouldn't influence my behaviour if think cases are in my locality..but it does! I'm curious

9 is a ridiculously low number for a population of 500,000

Just had a look there, population of cork county 543,000 ,cork city 210,000... 9 cases today As a percentage of population is 0.000016%
    Lockdown territory I reckon......

Also Cork County has an area of 7,500km/sq

I find it high as Cork cases have been quite low, with 3 I think the max for one day in a while, could be a cluster than can be traced hopefully
