Wonder if they'll end up locking down Dublin. Given Cork's size we're doing well. 9/10 I see have the mask on.

I doubt it, not as bad as it seems with their big population. The appetite for lockdowns is gone. It just means alot of people packing their bags and leaving.

Not at all. Areas of Dublin could be locked down yet and if they try to leave they would be stopped, by force if necessary.

There is no doubt that it should be locked down but the politicians are too cowardly to do it.

The younger people are not wearing masks at all.

Just back from the offie, nicely managed queueing system outside, but none of the young people was wearing a mask or distancing.

    Ireland's 14 day Covid case rate is at 32 per 100,000 but Cork's is 7 per 100,000.

There's enough rats in the county already without bringing them in from all over the island.

It's not something I've noticed but shops should refuse entry if that is the case.

It wouldn't take long for them to cop on to buy their Dutch gold

Yes younger people are wearing masks in my area of cork city so maybe your post would be accurate if you said in one off license. It’s not 100% but it’s very close to it.

I've seen a few wear the masks under their nose or under their chin #covididiots

Cork has been very good for masks but was down in Blackrock for the market today, zero social distancing, no sanitising stations and no masks by the public and most stalls had no masks either. I've no idea how they are allowed get away with it.

Can't understand how that's OK but pubs can't open or we can't have spectators.

Article about it here - https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/munster/arid-40044455.html - seems like very little information given to parents
“The letter contained zero information and just confirmed a case of Covid-19 and that the school was open as normal,” they added.

Not really much to go to for 18 year olds anyway. I remember when I had mine we had 5 or 6 clubs to choose from.

Cases per 100k over the last 2 weeks?
    Since the start or what?
