Can humans get bitten if a cat or dog has fleas?
Just noticed this insect bite (3 red bumps in a line) on my ankle yesterday but I haven't left home all weekend so just wondering if it could be connected to the 2 dogs or cats?

That's a typical flea bite pattern and yes, humans can be bitten by cat or dog fleas.
Treat your pets and wash all bedding, cushion covers and so on as hot as possible. Fleas can be a pain to get rid off!
