Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd expect this weekend to go ahead but maybe behind closed doors. no chance of the next round going ahead IMO.

As the league is not mathematically over, the trophy cannot be given to anyone.

    every cloud and all that!

    Euro's are being postponed.

Liverpool will still get the league.

If its not mathematically over, they cant be given it. It's just a race against time for LFC now and I'm sure everton would love nothing more than to slow them down!

    Cleared my throat wonderfully.

The British PM presser just now shows that they are not going to cancel large outdoor events.

Anyone too lazy too click on the link

Rumours in Germany that the 2019/20 #Bundesliga season could be ended on Monday without a national champion. The top four would qualify for Europe. No teams will be relegated and the 2020/21 season will be played with 22 teams with the last five to be relegated. #covid_19

Similar too the Italians. Best call. There’s more to life then football

I know I’m harping on but can’t believe how reckless the UK are being. How many do they want dead before it gets cancelled? Pick the arbitrary number out? What a farce.

They are working on the advice of the public health professionals they have. I do see the logic of it, whether thier graduated approach is better than sweeping shutdowns will only be known later.

Unless of course loads of players come down with it!

On Tues UEFA meet and they'll probably shift the Euros to next summer that does allow plenty of time to get every player infected and cleared game played even if the schedule is a bit disrupted.

    Or not

Maybe it is all part of the UK plans to develop herd immunity. They want the
Stronger/healthier people to get the virus to develop antibodies while no vaccine exists.

The only country that has stemmed the tide in any way so far is South Korea. They are considered the gold standard. Nothing else has worked.

Can't go ahead with managers and players testing positive. Would be madness to go on.

    Guess it's still going ahead.

The real figures in the UK must be off the charts with the amount of footballers/ teams having issues. World needs to go into lockdown for a couple of weeks to put a stop to this.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the center of the outbreak move from Italy to England at this rate.

Incredibly idiotic and dangerous behavior from the UK government

Thats the way I see it going aswell. Thing can be controlled somewhat if you take drastic actions. They want to go in a total different way.

it would be tough to take as a Liverpool fan, but the more this goes on, the more a voiding of the League looks like the best bet.

I agree with any decision, initially, to postpone, and see where we are in three weeks. voiding it right now is probably jumping the gun slightly. sure, Serie A haven't even done that yet.

but this is way more serious than football. i know people have been taking the mick for the last few weeks that Liverpool still won't manage to win the title, but I genuinely believe that for most people, it's just that - taking a bit of mick - before realising just how serious this could get. and if it gets more serious, and the UK can't keep it under control, then there will be little option left. and i would like to think that club rivalries go out the window.

Roy Hodgson should probably resign now as Crystal Palace manager

If it has to be voided when things get so bad, fine I really won't give a **** and I include Liverpool missing out on the league. Right now its jumping the gun though especially when it looks like the whole summer will be open to play fixtures.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,557 ✭✭✭✭CSF

How has there been this many English football cases overnight and none before late yesterday evening? This is bonkers.

Nearly every model is in agreement that summer won't be free of this, and will probably be the peak time
