Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi just wondering if this cowl is fit properly, I would have guessed that the cowl fit into the chimney pot but the brackets on the side are preventing it from fitting inside of the chimney has anybody got any ideas. Thanks in advance.

If you zoom in you can see that it is just sitting on top of the chimney rather than fitting into the chimney would this be correct.

I think that cowl is to fit on top of a twin-wall flue liner .

Kerdiff; I have the exact same " Spinner " fitted to the pot above my active stove here. Fitted it myself ~ back in the day when I could still stand on the bloody roof! :o

Honest question: Why'd ye have the thing put on there in the first place?

    Slightly off topic.

The guy who fit my stove added two caged units with a small roof on each one.

They compress and he fit them from inside using a chimney sweep type brush, took him about 5 minutes and he was never on the roof.

It's not as good as the ops job, but it stops some water and all magpies from coming in the chimney

 Damn, that's clever! I never dreamed ye could do that! Makes so much sense though. They're a real nightmare to fit, from the outside :o
