Why?

It's already on the loose in Ireland and it's only on the loose to the same extent in the UK. Other than generally preventing people travelling around closing down links to the UK won't achieve much other than piss people off.

The 70 being reported nationwide is not accurate anyway. There are 70 in Clare alone I would say.
