I cannot get an Insurance quote for an Hyundai I30 3Dr Diesel Van unless I reinstate the back seat and get an independent Engineer's report on it. I'm 70 and retired and cannot see why this is necessary. It's registered Own Goods on the Log Book but they say it's commercial and won't quote. I've tried all the major…

No point fighting it.
Insurance companies make the rules.

Maybe talk to some of the better brokers but insurance companies are a law onto themselves
