3 Huawei Broadband Dongle

Hi I have a three dongle - it works okay if I'm working in same room as it - but if dongle upstairs and trying to access it downstairs - this most of the time impossible. How could I improve this ? Also should dongle be left on at all times or better off to switch off at night ? Thanks

A desktop type router like the Huawei B593 or B525 would be the best way to go.
