Why would anyone "hope" for places to close. Its people out of work for god knows how long.

Yes places will probably eventually close but let's remember its alot of people out of work so I think hoping for places to close is the wrong way to put it.

Tourism and hospitality workers wont have the contracts for pay while they're closed.

A staggered closure or partial closure would be best at the moment.

You can restart a business. Can't do that with people.

Live in Manchester myself. I work in a small office, 2 of my bosses coughed almost simultaneously yesterday, and joked about "who brought the corona in here?", both of them constantly cough without covering their mouths, one even sneezed into his hand the other day and rubbed it in his pants. Both are in their 40s with kids ffs.

Nobody gives a **** over here.

    Same in Newcastle on Tyne.
I came back on Wednesday and it was business as usual.

Given the change in testing criteria I'd take your hand off for that

What's the point in guessing the numbers?

Sorry for asking again, any link?
The Virgin link doesn't work since I am outside Ireland.

They're most likely tourists over for St Patrick's day. I wouldn't assume they're Irish people.

That's a repeat, was last weekend I think. The young lad with his Corona virus comments will be embarrassed

Why would they be showing week-old news though?

Get yourself a VPN, gets around these issues. RTE link still wouldn't work mind you.

Just saw the citizenship ceremony on TV. I'm fuming. I thought we were supposed to be keeping our distance and avoiding contact. This the government doing this. FFS!

Edit... just reading that was a while ago... stand down.

None at this stage and they are pretty meaningless now anyway.
