Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help walking collie

I'm hoping someone might be able to give guidance and what best way to help with this issue. We have a collie, who is a lovely gentle dog, great with kids, fairly obedient. However, walks are starting to get difficult. Apart from always wanting to walk in front of you (which can lead to pulling on occasions), whenever we meet other dogs she wants to play with them, and starts to whine when obviously we don't let her. She will get distracted to the extent that if a dog is around she has to keep looking at it, especially if behind or accross the road - so gets harder to walk, as she'll pull towards the other dog. If dog in front of us, she'll whine to want to get to play with other dog. Is there a way to get her to ignore other dogs when she's not allowed play with them? I had tried chicken, hot dogs, but not as high a value as other dogs as she's not interested. Her high value item is a frisbee, but I can't throw that when out a walk.

Also, when we meet some other dogs that can act aggressive towards her, she will react towards them - teeth snarled, hair up - she is never the first one to start. I'm thinking if I can get her to ignore other dogs when out on a walk, then she'll learn to ignore the aggressive ones?

I currently use a g9 bridle harness, as helps with controlling and been able to hold her if she lunges.

    Anything I can try please?
    thanks.
