Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It would depend on my mood and where I could pitch the tent.Im never sleeping on the ground again. Probably tent with a very good airbed (very good airbeds do exist).

    Same question?

B&B - getting a fry served to you on a plate, yes please!

Have you ever met someone that totally convinced you to change your mind about something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Yes, my mind has changed many times over on serious and controversial questions, since 2017, and other people were the catalysts...it's very annoying when you hold strong moral convictions by nature, surely if they had a value they'd be unshakeable...but ultimately it means you've grown..

Have you changed much as a person?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,308 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Yes, I think when I hit 30, I became a totally different woman. More confident and accepting of myself.
I'm going to be 40 soon, I think I might go full blown mid life madness.

Ever see an animal giving birth?

To thine own self be true

    Yup. A cat

Ever seen a human giving birth (excluding yourself)?

Witnessed one on television when the battery failed and couldn't change the channel. I moved to Tibet immediately after and started moving dirt in an artful manner around a rocky outcrop.

    Can you eat planets?

I probably could if I ingested the right aperitif.

    Mars or Jupiter?

    Mars or Jupiter?

Of those belonging to Holst, Jupiter offers more intrigue. John Williams has borrowed too many motifs from Mars for his movie scores, and that has sullied my listening experience.

Did you ever ride the third rail?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

    No.

Would I be here to recount the story?
edit- meant in nicest possible way, if I think I know what you mean. by 3rd rail.

Sea Hawk (I'll admit I had to research that one!)

What black and white films would you recommend?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,423 ✭✭✭✭Outlaw Pete

    Strangers on a Train.
    White Heat.
    Sullivan's Travels.
    12 Angry Men.
    The Roaring Twenties.
    The Apartment.
    Odd Man Out.
    Witness For The Prosecution.

Do you think this is true?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Upforthematch

Cheers for the recommendations Outlaw Pete... I now have the time to go look at some!

I'm not going to pretend I know anything about masks but I'm going to say no, I'd say the 'american' made one is also crap at preventing Corona Virus. The propaganda war begins!

    Who is your favourite DJ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

15 years ago it was Tiesto
But these days on the drive to work, which is the only time I'll listen to 'dj's, at 9am, it's a choice between Kenny or Tubs. Kenny all the way!

Best laugh I had of late was this Apollo intro

I think I couldn''t decide what you might need without knowing if you're male or female.

    That doesn't even make sense does it?;

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

I too some have trouble discerning a user's gender.

But what makes discerning my gender difficult? I actually don't wear pyjamas if tha helps?

    I've always assumed you're a woman.

    Am I wrong?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 80,796 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sephiroth_dude

You can't see their posts unless someone quotes them and can't receive pm's from them but they can still see your post.

    Is someone annoying you?

Blew up a vacuum cleaner, which in turn blew the sockets in my house, caught on fire and burnt a hole in my floor.
    Did you?

    Which Smurf are you?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 80,796 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sephiroth_dude

    Sleepy

What did I say again to make you think that?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

    Is "mischievous " a compliment?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,050 ✭✭✭Ruby Ring

    You got it Widders

I usually use it as a compliment but it depends on the context.

What is the most memorable backhanded compliment you received?
