Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've never bought a thing on amazon.

Do you think this will be the longest summer you've had since being a child?

    It has been a long time ago,but a cookbook,heh.

    Strangest thing you bought?

A metal ring - it's for drawing a line on a golf ball

Do you obsess over things or are you able to let go?

Strangest thing I bought hmmmm.. I do yoga and have a keen interest in its origins. I bought a book online on it and a lot of it has ancient Sanskrit text. To me it's all part of the culture but I'd imagine someone with no interest would find it unusual.

Definitely the longest summer, ever. I mean primary schools aren't even technically on holiday yet.
I'd imagine if you murdered your child this summer, there might be mitigated circumstances to be argued.

If you had a big problem tomorrow, who would your first call be to for help?

    My heart.

Are you ok with needles and injections?

Used to be horrifically phobic but used some mind tricks to get over it and now I give too fingers to my old phobia by periodically giving blood. Externally it looks like I am just being a nice guy giving blood. Internally it is me doing a victory war dance and bigging up myself.

What has been the biggest tool for change in your life?

Biggest tool for change? Honestly probably frustration. "I want to break free"

Are you any good at drawing or art? What's your best picture?

Do you have any nice art in your house?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,309 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

I'm not into art but I have some box frames of landscape pictures I took myself from different holidays hanging on my wall. The nicest is actually the cliffs on Achill Island with the Atlantic lapping it.

What's the hardest self truth you had to admit about yourself?

I’m terrible at accepting money from people even if it’s for work done by me.

    Do you have a terrarium?

You just wanted someone to Google that, didn't you?!
No, they're creepy looking things imo.

PS.. If you're partial to decling money, there's this Michelin Star place I'm dying to go to...we'll go halves of course..

Is there anything under your bed?

A casual invite to a sports club night out with the view to being introduced to a guy who was in said club with someone I knew who thought maybe we'd be a match. Was barely introduced to him and he started talking about bringing me home introducing me to his mom.
I made my excuses and left the night out early.

Have you ever broken someone's heart?

I have sadly and in the process broke my own.

  • Registered Users Posts: 497 ✭✭antgal23

    @ Major Bill

    Washing hands entering shops

Of course I disobeyed my parents but can't remember when and why

Do you think your parents know you better before you know yourself? For example, career path, friend choices,

We get on well so they know a good bit about me and we share common interests. They wouldn't have chosen my career path that's for sure.

How many cousins do you have and how many do you speak with on a monthly basis at least?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

In the region of 30-40 I think but not too sure.

Don’t speak to any monthly. Maybe yearly a few of them.

Is that considered to be a close family ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 497 ✭✭antgal23

A close family to me is more my immediate family to which I'd be close enough but with a bit of distance

If I told you I dipped my biscuits I'm my tea or coffee would that turn you off dating me?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,105 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

No, that would not put me off unless you were dipping mikados.

Tell me about your current, or last, pet?

    Do anything nice today?

I'm back to fitness again - is there any common fitness advice out there that you don't follow and why?
