Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I do vary in weight from 1kg to 60Kg but use a lot of body weight in exercises.

Is there a language you’d like to learn?

    Japanese,it sounds really nice spoken

Will you go to matches,if they make a comeback

No, as much as I love GAA, if there are crowds anywhere I won't go this year.

Are you similar or totally different to how you portray yourself online?

    Doubt it

    EDIT: different

Do you see Japanese knotweed regularly?

Are you similar or totally different to how you portray yourself online?

Both? I still suffer from a hell of a lot of self doubt and periods of complete weakness. When I post about myself I normally post about myself on the good days. On my bad days I am not posting. So I hardly mention it. Except for that one thread where I had a total break down :)

Do you remember the earliest days of the internet and if so what was the funniest memory of how it worked back then?

Yes - I don't believe that love is just pragmatic, chemical or evolutionary forces - it has a permanent quality (that's deep :))

Don't remember the earliest days but I know I remember enough about netscape navigator and eircom to do me a lifetime. I did a great impression of dial up internet at the time :D

Is there any common fitness advice out there that you don't follow and why?

I am getting very very very close to that situation too. So my heart is absolutely with you. A creature I brought into our lives almost on an insane whim after reading a book - imported from the states - he has changed our lives in ways I can not even tell without writing a novel myself. We thought he had a few more years in him but there was a very very sudden aging that started occurring recently. Almost "over night" - and some days it disappears and some days it comes back with a vengeance.

A little bit of us dies when we have to do something like that - but a little bit of us burns brighter as a result I think. Hold on to that light. I hope I will/can too when it happens.

Sorry to interrupt the flow of the thread! My bad. Sorry.

    Are you?

Would drunken hiccups be a sign to you to stop drinking and go to bed?

Yes and speaking from experience, they're annoying for your partner to have to listen to! ;)

Do you think you're a well liked person?

I dont think I stir strong emotions either way in people. Some people do like me, some are indifferent and I dont think there are any that would be hating me.

    Are you cold today?

Not especially, but there is definitely a drop in temperature.

When making sandwiches do you cut them in triangles or rectangles?

Rectangles. Unless I'm feeling fancy! ;)

Do sandwiches taste better in triangles?

  • Registered Users Posts: 497 ✭✭antgal23

It's been scientifically proven that triangular shaped sandwiches taste better, it's a true fact

Strangest topping in a pizza you would try?

    I'd like to try lobster.

Can you bake and if so, what?

I only started attempting to bake in the last 2/3 years. My partner is a great cook so I leave most things to him.. BUT.. I do make really delicious millionaires shortbread if I may say so myself! And I recently made a great apple cake. I make nice coconut macaroons as well. Wouldn't trust myself to bake anything important like a birthday cake though.

What are your thoughts on egg salad sandwiches. I've seen this question bring out the worst in people! :D

    Coconut macaroons, yummy!

I don't mind egg sandwiches, ( esp triangular ones ;) ) I wouldn't make them my self as there is too much work but they go well with tea

Ever eat rich tea with butter and jam?

Of course. Used to love it when I was a kid.

Is there anything that makes you irrationally angry? (My internet connection is slow tonight and I feel like throwing my phone out the window)

A bad training session, doesn't matter if its a run, swim, Judo or a cycle but a bad session really puts me in foul form. But it also drives me hard for the next one.

    Fresh or smoked cod?.

    Smoked.

How often do you get takeaway food?

    Beer or spirits?

    Smoked.

I haven't had a take away since the end of January or beginning of Feb. But at normal times I'd say on average once every two months. If that.

    What about you?

Sorry pm missed your question .. when I'm drinking probably spirits but I like beer too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 497 ✭✭antgal23

@Builebeag - hold in deep breath and breathe out

We don't do take away at all, prefer to cook

Fresh cod all day long please

I have concluded that I wouldn't like to meet a fellow boardsie as a www relationship has more intrigue than a face to face one

    Do you agree with this?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 24,878 ✭✭✭✭arybvtcw0eolkf

    Smoked.

How often do you get takeaway food?

Rarely tbh, but I went for a swim this evening. The sea was rougher than a bears arse, I was actually dying for a chowder so I bought a smoked cod and chips.

    Whats your fav cheat meal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,309 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

Frozen curry and rice in the oven.

Do you use any pantry products for skin or hair care?

Coconut oil on my hands with all the washing these days. It's also great for gently removing lip stain.

Antgal, there's some boardsies I'd like to meet in real life and others I'd avoid like the plague. Overall I'd say it's a sure way to be disappointed though.

Have you ever embarrassed yourself with a huge crowd watching?

I've never seen any Marvel movies, not my thing.
