Hey Guys,

My current rig is getting on in age, at 4 years old and while its still doing the business its starting to show its age. Looking for recommendations on a new build.


1. What is your budget? €2000-2500

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes - turning old PC into a media centre

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I will probably use some of the SSD's but would like to build from scratch.

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? 1x 27inc Acer predator 2560x1440 @ 144hz, and 2x 24 inch monitors @ 1920*1080. Possibly upgrade to another Acer predator

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? nope

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

8. How can you pay? Credit card

9. When are you purchasing? End of March

CPU cooler is not a necessity btw - standard Wraith Prism will keep the CPU cool enough. Only buy if you want it to be quieter.

You may also be interested in the EVGA hybrid variant of the 2080 Super - again, just for quiet & lower temps. Performance is the same.

Thank you very much i will definitely take the recommendations on the cooler and the card as i like to keep it a bit quieter. I may change the case depending on where i plan to stick it. I currently have an NZXT and love the build quality and loo.
