Feel trad music gets repetitive fairly quick but the Americans love it and must think every pub in the country is as lively as Hollywood makes them out to be

They also think it's OK for four of them to sit around ONE glass of Guinness for two hours listening to said music.

A lovely cold pint of porter sitting in a sitting quiet pub with nobody hassling you.

Partial to a bit of 80s/party music. I do like live pub bands too but feel some play too much of the same stuff nowadays

Planning to have a few cans Saturday night

This place is open all night. We got an extension.

is anyone else dying for a pint reading this thread?

I am heading off to get a slab of Guinness.

People must be off their rocker if they think pubs wont be open this summer. What about gyms? Cafes?

The whole economy won't stay shut, my prediction is it'll peak and start declining by May and in June things will start opening again on a phased basis, if not sooner.

The vast vast majority don't get any severe issues with this. It'll pass.

It doesn't, it's never going to be gone gone anyway either after vaccines, it'll be just another illness out there though.

I do always put the can'een of Guinness in the freezer for about 25 mins before pouring it. Cold cans of Guinness only job

It would be that now if that’s the case.

Not really, as it's brand new there's no immunity out there whatsoever, but the passing of time will fix that.

Crisps and peanuts and maybe bacon fries are the only culinary delights that should be available in a pub

Crisps and peanuts yes. Bacon Fries no. What you want is a good bag of pork scratchings. Bristles and all. Hard to beat.

I can see you letting rip with a bit of Pavrotti after a gallon or two?

Singing is a great thing to clear the head spins. Keeps you focussed.

I have been told I look like Pavarotti before, av no facial hair so not sure why.

I could give Nessum dorma a go next time on the tin whistle

By the end of April or start of May the majority of the country will have become infected and almost all the people who are going to die will be dead so at that point surely the restrictions can start to ease?

Yeah because the virus would cop on a bit once it's airside?

The seriousness of this means no exceptions (except maybe IAMAMORONs fantastical trad bar full if nags and craic)

Well that’s what the government said 3 weeks ago and if you look at the numbers it looks to me like we’re well on our way. Cases are doubling every 4 days, do the maths and you’ll see!

I thought Hotel bars could serve residents if they wanted to.

He mentioned it on Tue on that speech he copy pasted from Boris. Hotels aren't even allowed guess s (except essential business.. ie no tourist, alough I assume tourist trapped in Ireland waiting to go home etc will be caught up in this and Inc be staying).
