A basic rundown on the main things that facism is

Did anyone learn anything in cspe in school??

If yous are gonna compare something to facism, perhaps you should know, what facism is to begin with??:pac:

I see even Gene Kerrigan taking a pop at SF today in the Sindo. And a strong piece from Máiría Cahill, a woman whose name SF and its online patsies did their best to try and drag through the mud.

I only see one nefarious cabal repeatedly using Ms. Cahill to score political points.

Maybe you can see why Leo was sending all the wrong signals racing to the park having cans when restrictions were much tighter.

O'Neill was wrong too to be involved in selfies and sending the wrong signals as a leader.

Mairia was basically employed to have a weekly anti-SF column.

    That was a joke.
But if you read the comments under it shows what I said would happen.
SF are now seen as hypocrites and, their covid messaging and leadership is gone by the wayside.
And Francie, that would include our reps from this side of the border too I feel. Marylou and Pearse.
I ont think Leo's Park lark had the same affect at all.

I ont think Leo's Park lark had the same affect at all.

Of course you don't. But others did.
He's running around drinking in the park, out buying clothes, eating out, for self promotion shots, because he cannot resist that for some narcissist reason. You could use the same logic you are using on SF and ask what did you expect people were going to do in Dublin last night...the exact same thing. Problem is when you get hundreds copying him, in the one confined area.

That's the problem you don't see being created because you are prepared to turn a blind eye to it. We get it.

    Poor joke.
I agree and distancing talk would be hypocritical of north and south SF.
Me neither. His using movie quotes would cover that, which doesnt cancel what SF did.

I disagree with your 1st sentence
He didn't have to race to the park, Farmleigh is in it
    His group was permitted
We never got to see what was in the cans

I agree with your 2nd sentence

We get you guys don't agree. There's a name for it...hypocrisy. Call out one but not the other..these threads are full of people doing that.

Unfortunately my view of your use of the hypocrisy word is up there with your use of the lie word in my humble opinion
But then one would hardly expect a dyed in the wool Sinn Fein supporter to agree there either
We could too and fro on it this evening into the usual deadlock if you wish but charity begins at home and honestly I've zero intention of interrupting my dinner and few pints, it may wait the turning of my attention towards company at the table not the phone
Alternatively I'm amicably agreeing to disagree
    Have a lovely evening.

    All of this:
Basic lesson in civics: when you want to know what people want you count votes. SF never got a mandate at the ballot box while the IRA were killing people. Now I know that the level SF/IRA's enthusiasm for the ballot box is in direct ratio to the level of their performance at elections. I remember expressions of utter contempt for the people's verdict when it wasn't favourable to them.
Sure the few who did get elected during the bombing and shooting only got the nod because the voters knew they weren't in the IRA, like Gerry for instance.

God, do I remember that old shibboleth! When we southerners opened our mouths we were told we knew nothing about it. When we said nothing we were told we didn't care.
We were supposed to sit silently and answer yes sir, no sir.
Did Hume and Mallon know anything about it? Are you saying the people didn't want them? You need to brush up on your sums.

Considering none iof it has any relevance to the reality that the IRA were supported by sizeable communities all over the north. especially when you say things like 'we were told we knew nothing about it' when certainly the poster I was replying to seems to have no idea. Theres reasons SF werent a political force at that time (read your history)

Why are you replying to my post with irrelevant waffle? thats what I was wondering.

Where did RTÉ get the following information which would have been a put out for bereaved families because it certainly doesn't read like a nothing to see here situation
His family was the only one allowed to hold a service that day. Eight other families who had loved ones cremated were not allowed to hold services.

Belfast City Council, which runs the crematorium, has apologised to those families.

You decide, this is pretty close to what we learned about a 'lie' in school, it was a long time ago, could have changed.

    noun
a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.
something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture:
His flashy car was a lie that deceived no one.
an inaccurate or false statement; a falsehood.

Your 7 posts so far have been on Wolfe Tones, IRA and Sinn Fein and you ask why other people are obsessed with Sinn Fein?

Mod: FrancieBrady - you're coming dangerously close to trolling to get a response here. Argue the post, not the poster.
