Dropped in the last two days but we are expecting them to rise ...surely the lockdown is not working all ready.
Presumably those in the know were expecting it to work in 10 days to 2 weeks but what if we have been exceptional ?

This happened in numerous countries, that then continued upwards. Unfortunately, it is almost a certainty that cases will rocket:(

Thousands of us in Ireland have already got the virus and its most likely been gone.

So many people in the main thread have complained about a shortness of breath over past few weeks. That's no coincidence

There isnt a lockdown happening in this country. The pubs and some small businesses closed but thats nothing close to a lockdown. In other countries police and the army are manning the streets. Everything is closed besides chemists and supermarkets and they have restrictions on how many people can enter at one time.

Here, Supermarkets are packed with people hoarding, most of the big companies like Starbucks, McDonalds, KFC, unnecessary retail shops are still open. Obviously theyre still making money during supposed 'social isolation' or they would close.
People are still leaving their homes and socialising in public spaces, hanging out in shopping centers and streets for no reason, having house parties, not taking the situation seriously at all.

The sad thing is, all of these people who think this is a big over reaction to a 'flu' will have blood on their hands by the end of the month. It'll be their parents, grandparents, wives, husbands, siblings and friends that will die alone on a trolly as they drown, lungs filled with blood and fluid, gasping for their final breath.

There are so many comments here and on social media stating they have coronavirus symptoms but cant get tested, cant get through to the helpline, cant get help when they need it. Our health system is diabolical at the best times. In most towns it cant take an hour for an ambulance to get to them. Some places in Ireland have 1 or 2 ambulances for the entire county, despite desperate need for more without a virus pandemic. Our health system is totally unprepared for a situation like this.
We have 250 ICU beds in the entire country. We are supposed to have 500, again without any mention of a health pandemic, we should have 500 atleast. This has been documented and is one of the many failings of our public health care system.

The reason in my view the government is desperately pushing for social isolation is because they know our health care system will crash entirely. All the campaigning, protests, strikes and complaining about the hospitals, waiting lists, nurses pay, overcrowding all fell on deaf ears and now its come back to bite them. All the while they had billions to spend on a ridiculous hospital with extensive private facilities.

The numbers are holding to a pattern of doubling every three days, as happened in other countries and predicted by ir gov. It’s also the case that testing is lagging and so numbers are underreported.
