It has to be the Undertaker. We all know he's past his best, but I can't think of a name that generates more interest at Wrestlemania. Maybe a Rock vs Stone Cold rematch would
    but that's about it

    foley

who had the harder job, the man flinging someone from the cage, or the one being flung

saw it again on this thread the other day,

how did they let that happen

    mankind for the win

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,572 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

Love both but wouldn't have had either in the final.

I will vote for Foley to make up for me having to endure triple H beating him, even as Cactus Jack one of the times, in three PPVs in a row in 99 or 2000. Hungry ba5tard wouldn't even let him have one.

My final vote has to be for the Dead Man.
He's gonna put Cactus Jack in a coffin and give him the last rites.

I have got to ask myself how we got to this point.

    I blame society.

And there you have it folks, the Greatest of them all is none other than the Phenom, the Deadman... THE UNDERTAKER

Whoops. Missed the Final altogether. Ah well, would've voted for The Undertaker anyway.

Cheers as Allways for running this!

Best entrance music ever next please & thanks

Thanks again for doing this Omackeral, the effort is much appreciated even if the final result is wrong.
The winner should have been stylin' and profilin'.

We did one of them a few years ago. Here's the link!

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Honestly had Hogan running away with this. Maybe Austin 2nd favourite with Rock as slightly behind him. Pleasantly suprised by the winner!

6 years is a long time and perhaps options and posters have changed

Mr JR Ross commentating on these wrestlers made it all the better!

True. Plus this forum would give it a fresh set of eyes and ears.

I remember that competition, back in the days where I only posted in the PW Forum.

Some class additions now if you were to update it... just to mention a few...

I would have had Hogan too. I guess the age profile of the posters and the time they watched wrestling comes into play more

I still find it amusing that Hogan was eliminated by Kane, of all people.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive Kane fan, and I'd vote for him all day long, but most don't seem that fussed about him, so it was bizarre to see :D

Was it a vote for Kane or a vote against Hogan. His primadonna antics caught up on him.

Also, Glenn Jacobs survived Isaac yankem and fake diesel before coming good, and in a lot of other people's hands, being undertakers little brother could have been another dudd gimmick. Credit to the man.

Great thread really enjoyed reading it! Bit disappointed I didn't see it earlier and didn't get to do any voting. Also disappointed there was no sign of one of my favourite wrestlers of the 90s - Doink!

    Same from me.

How about a similar thread for the old NWA, they had some serious talent - but clearly hadn't deep enough pockets, so over time they saw some of their best move organisation.

I'll always remember The Road Warriors - Hawk and Animal, an absolutely incredible tag team, before they were lured over to the WWF and became too commercial.

    Thanks,

Ill run a Tag Team tournament if you guys fancy it. A big one!

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

The Undertaker wins this entire tournament, surely?! The streak, the entrance chimes, the coffins, the tombstone, Paul Bearer, even the terrible biker period was better than a lot of wrestlers

Just checked this back. You called it!

There was a team that I saw just once and I’m pretty sure they were introduced as something like ‘the team of Stephen Well and Timothy Dunne, Well Dunn’ they’re already the winners in my book.
