She's no stranger to controversy and perhaps that notoriety is what causes her to Sheep; Germaine Greer picks up a surprisingly high score. Whereas poor Marian Keyes, just down the road from us all, gets no love at all!

Persepoly takes a good guess, but sadly not a correct one.

Just googled her, she sounds like a right plank!

And we've hit the halfway point! Germaine Greer hurts yozico and causes them to slip a few places, with munster87 and EEFGGFEDCCDEED the beneficiaries. But it's all still really close, at both ends of the table.

I’m going into denial and telling myself highest points win - it’s the only way to save my ego.

Only half a point and I’m top of the list!

Lots of new people round for these games

Ye should check out werewolf, basically the backbone of forum games, games typically run over 4-5 days but there is one night game happening this Friday, check it out here

Its very easy to play but like Peehs its harder to explain than it is to actually play

Ok, everyone ready to get back to the reveal? :)

This was a fairly tough round; one very big Sheep and two excellent Aces coming up....

    6. Nobel Prize
All of these women have received a Nobel Prize in (at least) one discipline
    gc4y7W1.jpg

    TOP ROW:
Marie Skłodowska Curie: Polish scientist. Winner of 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics and 1911 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. First woman to win either prize and the only person to date to win the prize in two different scientific fields.
Malala Yousafzai: Pakistani civil rights activist. Winner of 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. Youngest ever Nobel laureate.
Betty Williams: Northern Irish peace activist. Winner of 1984 Nobel Peace Prize. Died on 17th March 2020.
Aung San Suu Kyi: Burmese politician. Winner of 1991 Nobel Peace Prize.

    BOTTOM ROW:
Toni Morrison: American novelist and essayist. Winner of 1993 Nobel Prize in Literature.

Biggest Sheep of the night thus far but perhaps not a hugely surprising one; the incomparable Madame Curie.
I thought perhaps Betty Williams might score a bit higher, given her recent passing; perhaps she may have done were it not for Covid-19 overshadowing pretty much every other item in the news.

We have two Aces in this round; well done to bolgbui41 and Green&Red for their excellent answers.
It's not good news for Skippy, however, as they make a sprint towards the wooden spoon.

I knew the top two. And knew the next two but not well enough how to spell them to be sure that it'd not be a wrong answer. I had hoped that most people would avoid Curie for being too obvious.

EEFGGFEDCCDEED takes a tumble as Green&Red's Ace sees him now take the lead. Shane's wise decision to opt for Malala sees him move into 2nd. Still all very tight at the top, however.

    Scores after question 6:

The one on Friday would be a great intro to anyone curious about it. It's not a 4-5 day game, it'll all be done over the course of one evening. If you've ever wondered, then what better time to try when you can't go out anyway :)

Never mind, just realised that one has reached capacity. Watch out for the next one though.

    And now we move to:

    7. TIME Magazine's Women of the Century
All of these women have been named in TIME Magazine's "Women of the Century" list, published in March 2020
    SD9lt5x.jpg

    TOP ROW:
Corazon Aquino: Filipino politician. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 1986.
Sinéad O’Connor: a.k.a. Shuhada' Sadaqat. Irish singer-songwriter and Pope-photo-ripper-upper. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 1993.
Marilyn Monroe: American actress and pop culture icon. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 1954.
Princess Diana of Wales: British royal and philanthropist. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 1987.

    BOTTOM ROW:
Greta Thunberg: Swedish environmental activist. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 2019.
Frida Kahlo: Mexican artist. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 1938.
Oprah Winfrey: American businesswoman and media personality. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 2004.
Hillary Clinton: American senator and former Democratic nominee for President. TIME’s “Woman of the Year” for 2016.

We have another double-digit Sheep in this round, but with so many high profile ladies which one will it be?

  • Definitely Princess Di.

Corazon Aquino is arguably the most difficult answer to get here, and in the end nobody got it; Collie D admirably took a swing but didn't quite hit (I doubt very much Imelda Marcos would like being mistaken for the woman who played a large part in bringing down her husband's regime! :p )

What I thought was the second most difficult answer here....is the Sheep! Because that's how this game often works.
