Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Netatmo knocks of the power to my Gas Boiler

About two years ago I availed of the free Netatmo offer by switching to Energia. The Netatmo device works perfectly fine. Several months later I got my boiler serviced by Bhord Gais and the guy who serviced it said " The power to your boiler is turned off, it should always have power on, the led light display panel should be lit up ".
What's happening is, when Netatmo is activated it switches the boiler on and you will here the boiler starting up and when Netatmo switches off you can here the boiler switch off. Apparently the boiler should always have power going to it.
My wife recalled that before the Netatmo was installed you could see by the display there was always power going to it. I did ring Energia but kind of got fobbed off so I gave up. Has anyone else experienced the same issue regarding Netatmo powering off your boiler. I am told the warranty on boiler is void if there is no constant power going to boiler. Boiler is 3 years old and is a Vaillant Eco Tech plus 634 boiler.

So basically the netatamo is a thermostat/switch....

It would be set up like this for an oil boiler but not gas.
    Well shouldn't be of course.....

Just needs to be wired in correctly.

Get back the people who installed the Netamo.
Seems to me the permanent line (live) is being switched instead of the switched line or maybe both.

As above. They should come back and wire it correctly.

Just fyi, lots of oil boilers also need a permanent live.

Yes but that tends to be on the frost protection thermostat.

    Old school ones anyway.
