Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rhythm and Blues, loved Honky Tonk and Greg the Hammer.

    Rythm and Blues...

Rhythm and Blues for me too. Honourable mention to their driver as well, a certain DDP

Rhythm and blues because while honky Tonk man wasn't great Greg valentine was amazing as a wrestler and the mouth of the south.

Okay you’ve gone too far, Honky Tonk was brilliant.

As a character yeah but as a wrestler Wayne ferris was awful.

Oh he was a rubbish wrestler but back then I always enjoyed the characters far more than what came later, it all got too polished. Shake Rattle and Roll was the worst finishing move. Still loved him though.

Anything with Honky Tonk Man in it is a winner in my book. Cheesy shtick, low talent wrestler, cheap glitz, perfect metaphor for the '80s.

I didn't expect a whitewash there in all honesty. Could there be another one here to make a team humble?

Foreign Legion all the way, another team of the time.

Foreign legion. Individually successful careers too. Never heard of the brothers.

Yea Foreign Legion... Cue the Russian Anthem, and wave that flag !

Foreign Legion! Heck, Nikolai Volkov even sang "Caramia Mor" on the debut WWF album!

Pretty decisive. Our second last bout coming up here before the Battle Royal.

The bodydonnas .... Sunny swings it :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,090 ✭✭✭wrestlemaniac

Sunny to go through. By default the tag team she's with.

The Bodydonnas for the sun factor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,865 ✭✭✭✭Igotadose

Hard to call, more familiar with Arn Anderson from both leagues and his notable father, Ole. Plus Bobby the Brain was forced to wear a weasel suit once so.... Brain Busters get my vote

Brain busters easily and that's even with sunny on the other side.

Proper tag team wrestling for arn and Tully.

Tully & Arn. I quite like the Bodydonnas but they're up against two of the Four Horsemen with an extensive catalogue of great matches and feuds.

    How dare you!!!

The honky tonk man was the greatest intercontinental champion of all time

    Self proclaimed granted.

Thanks. Good read and deserved winner I think, all things considered.

Given what's happened in the last two years, I wonder would Becky beat Lita now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Can't believe I'm typing this but Skip and bloody Zip, of all people, beat the Enforcer Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard 4-3. That's the upset of the tournament for sure. This is our penultimate bout of the round.

I hope the people that voted for The Bodydonnas because of Sunny are below the age of 16 because anyone aged 16 or over using that as a reason is pathetic.

    SuNnY gIrl mE LiKe gIrLs

    Absolutely pitiful.

Easy - the Hart Foundation. Bret is one of my favourite wrestlers ever

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Hart foundation and let's stop the messing. Arn and tully knocked out by the bodydonnas is ridiculous.

In fairness this is true. Still a stinker of a result. Speaking of stinkers, who's ready for the jobber battle royal? It's coming up next and is for the very last spot in Round 2.

For jobbers Barry Horowitz has to be there, didn’t he fight a bit with the Brooklyn Brawler? Someone I managed to get into the singles one despite him being just the worst.
