Blood Donation : Non-EU

Hey All,

Per Department of health:

“3,000 blood donations are needed every week to meet demand and the ready availability of this blood for transfusion is vital to the daily treatment of patients in our hospitals."

Google :"covid-19 ireland blood donation".

I am non-EU resident from south Asia and would like to donate blood. But, I've been told that people from non-eu/south asia are not allowed to donate blood in Ireland. Is it still true ?

I cant donate after having a blood transfusion while in Bali so i would think so.

You'll be answering Yes to some the questions in the 'Travel' section, but that doesn't necessarily mean you cant donate. They'd need mode specific info.

Give them a call on this number: 01 4322800, and ask to talk to somebody about it.

I donated just last night, and they are keen to get as many as possible (like always I suppose).
