Sky Fibre 1Gb and Sky TV not working

    We have the Sky 1Gb fibre internet. It’s never been spectacular, with usually our top wired speed being 130mps and our top WiFi speed being 55mb. It’s also unstable, needing a modem reset every ten days or so. We’re waiting to come out of contract.

    The last few weeks it’s been worse than normal, but the situation the world it’s in, we’ve been trying to struggle through it. Tricky while working from home (my employers VPN keeps disconnecting) and it’s been more and more unstable. Since yesterday, it’s dropping every few minutes and we can’t watch anything on Sky let alone do any work. We’ called Sky and the IVR tells us that they’re too busy and have no one available to take our call followed by disconnection. To complicate matters, we are in a black spot with our mobiles too as we barely get 2 bars of 3G on Eir. We’re two minutes from the M50, so not rural at all.

    The LAN light on the Siro connection doesn’t stay green, it just flickers - is this normal?

    If anyone has any ideas, we would be grateful.
