    Were here all over Easter...

Ha. Ha. Not by choice, I can guarantee that.

If he means "all over Easter" by an hour and a quarter tomorrow, Thursday and again next Tuesday.

If Henry doesn't come back after the break he has to go down as one of the most pointless guests ever.

There's always a risk if you work in healthcare, it's a given. I'm working in an essential service (not healthcare) and have to interact with the public. It's impossible to do the job without some interaction. There will always be a risk.

in fairness i'm sure they are trying to get the suitable masks (not from a chinese take away) as quickly as possible

I'm not listening either Joe. Give me a call!

The grunting and gasping from joe has started again- there is a direct correlation between the misery of the topic and the volume of wheeze and moans

His wife and those who care for the dying and the dead are great people.
The compassion they show is unbelievable.

“Boris doesn’t have pneumonia”. Yeah? He’s in ICU for a head cold, quite plausible indeed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,530 ✭✭✭PieOhMy

That's the third reference in as many weeks that I've heard Joe mention his listening to BBC radio, along with the bbc producer that was on !

Not good figures coming out of London for those in ICU for CV19. Survival rate of 50% give or take a bit.
I suppose they'll not be taking a ventilator off him to give to a 20 year old.

A recruitment consultant. I wonder if Joe was in touch with her before all this...

But but but but but but he’s not in a ventilator, he’s reading the papers, making decisions, signing stuff. Whilst unconscious ventilated patients either side of him on the unit are unaware of his presence.

There’s no way they would risk his health putting him in an ICU if it wasn’t already serious. There are risks associated with being in such a unit and the possible benefit of staying alive has to our way the risk of death.

Sorry to disappoint guys, I know this person and the fact that her husband works for the BBC has nothing to do with her initial contact with Joe. She first called in to him a few years ago, just simply as an irish person living in London with a comment on an appropriate story.

    No media bias involved.

What does it matter who's in charge for the ordinary punter in the street? Dominic Raab is in charge, how difficult is that to understand?

Ireland was so slow, just the UK being slower made us look better.

I have just heard of a relative who is a doctor working in UK and who had Covid-19 and thought she had recovered well. Returned to work and immediately fell sick again. The guidelines about this disease haven’t evolved well enough for definitive advice to be made about when one can return to “normal” activity as it is now.
