Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Where were the Bulgarians from.....originally.?

someone suggested on Pat Kenny's show earlier there are plenty of Irish out of wurk who would do the fruit/veg picking instead of the free €350 a week.

I nearly spat out my tea in laughter

Stay at home, stay ah-loi-ive so to speak.

Romanians to the resuce v. reckless bringing in 200 peeple to pick de strawberries and dat.

We need a spokesperson NOT A STATEMENT (lol) sez de callers to de show. Yeah right.

Should priests get the €350? Ask me bollicks sez I.

Death, death, and more death so to speak. An indication of de calibre of peeple we're losing so to speak.

Simple email from anywhere in de wurild for a simple man.

Ronan and Joe doing another sing-along. My ears...first Nathan Carter, now Mr. Duffy mumbling over a song so to speak.

Joe, I never realised that when I went to Sofia in Bulgaria that I was in the midst of the land of Romanians rather than Bulgarians. My geography must be letting me down badly. Thanks, Joe, for letting us know about the Romanian rather than Bulgarian fruit pickers. Maybe they are the same trained people who very expertly pick the rose petals at break of day in the rose fields of Kazanlak for the factories producing attar of rose.

he also said there were 200 of them so to speak. Given his Matty Mattickal prowess that likely means anything from 1 to 50,000 so to speak.

I have to be hoenst, dis was de furst I did heard (late night last night) abour deeze fordeners coming in here and stealin' our jobs so to speak. Jobs dat no-wan wants and no Irish scrotes sittin' on dare holes would ever do mind you......

I don't know the whole story but on the surface it appears to be a giant 2 fingers to essential travel, social distancing, stay at home etc. I'm not sure Keelings have thought this one through from a PR perspective. Dis has a lot of potential to back fire and dat.

Imo there will be a relaxation of people's attitudes to following the guidelines of the lock down in the wake of the news that migrant workers are still being flown into the country. It's not so much the migrant workers it's just that why does everything have to be done in such an underhand manner in this country as if hundreds of workers wouldn't be spotted arriving into the countries main airport. Maybe they are essential workers for all I know could it not have been flagged somehow that this was going to happen
