From 28 March our numbers are:

    down
    up
    up
    down
    up
    up
    down
    up...
bit of a trend by a learner stats person😷😷

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

The Queen is about to address her subjects. Pay attention everyone.

This isn't a sprint either. When we go to lessen restrictions we may have to locdown again if cases rise.

No use clapping ourselves on the back after 3 miles running what may be a marathon.

I really dislike this 'we're doing ok' attitude because it leads to complacency.

So when is it expected to peak in Ireland ?
Possibly the middle of the month or it could be later is the precise answer! Nobody really knows.

    One word!

Ok is ok isn't a good enough attitude in anything in life. Particularly when lives are at stake.
I'm 46 now if I die in a care home when I'm 95 because of a global pandemic I'm ok wih that.

Now we have you boss. I'm 46, I couldn't care less about 95 year olds. Maybe when you're 95 you'll think differently. Well Declan Flynn you could still get a bad dose of it yourself.

So when is it expected to peak in Ireland ?

About half past four, on a Tuesday, would be my best guess. What does anyone else think?.

    Seriously..... who knows???

Source: Department of Health and the Health Protection Surveillaence Centre.

*"Recovered" rates are not reported by the Department of Health in the above link, these figures are taken from the Worldmeters and Johns Hopkins websites which use data suplied by the DoT to the ECDC under the WHO Guidelines for reporting. Recovered statistics can only be published as "recovered" following two successful tests of being clear of the virus under the WHO reporting guidelines, as a result it is likely the recovered data is skewed.

** Due to the above issue with reporting of revovered cases the number of active cases is also likely skewed.

If Sweden turns out to be roughly in the average of countries in terms of cases and deaths, as it appears to be so far, then all the countries who locked down will need to do a serious re-assessment of their own response.

Sweden's testing is similar to the UKs' , only hospital cases.
With 400 deaths, the true number of cases is closer to 26000 and not the 6830 reported, assuming a 1.5% death rate.

Their neighbour Norway had recorded 5670 cases and 71 deaths, with half the population of Sweden

They're looking for any kind of health professional in the UK including vets and dentists to monitor temperatures, oxygen, blood pressure, respiration, venepuncture of patients with corona virus.

And Leo here answering phones. He won't wear the PPE gear himself and go in and monitor patient's vitals. Good man yourself Leo.

    yeah, you have me

You think you're invincible at 46, this is only confined to 95 year olds in nursing homes who should be satisfied to live to that age. Any of us could have a weakness we don't know about, or with an attitude like yours not give a fcuk about giving it to older people.

So when is it expected to peak in Ireland ?

Spain peaked 19 days after their lockdown.
Italy peaked 18 days after their's
    And France after 16 days
We locked down 7 days ago (feels like months ago)
So a peak possibly in 9-12 days.
I would hope the schools closing, pubs closing and Leo's Paddy's day speech would be seeing dividends by now.
If a high proportion of our deaths are from nursing homes, it maybe hard to see the effects of the earlier closures.
Needless to say, the experts would know all those details and they are the ones advising the government.

    Hi GM228,

Your table is too "wide" for the format of the site.
Can you re-size it, or drop all columns after Recovery% ?

I don't see Boris doing much not even answering a phone.
But to be honest I'd rather have a vet look after me than Boris
