Like I said, the doctors give great information. Trump stands there starting sentences with "I think", "I hope", "We don't know". It's similar to most leaders but some people seem to think the USA are dealing with this better than other countries.

Those waiting on tests, the test won't make a lick of difference if they are positive for covid19. It's a test, not a cure. I wish people realise that.

The government would be looking at the hospital admissions are their guide to any new measures to take.
Likewise, any tests taken and processed would be from various days, we (the public) get all those results in a single day. The government and the experts behind them, would know the date the swab was taken and when it was processed etc... They have a ton more info that we have.

If Boris helped in any way to bring this on himself, it was through his apparently cavalier attitude to social distancing in the early days of the pandemic, saying he was going to keep shaking hands and that.
