I've given up putting much store in the case numbers but not having more deaths is always a positive.

The majority of those people are someone's husband/wife/sister/brother/grandmother, which is still important when people are focusing on numbers

    we are doing ok.

Th only thing is we will need to smart when people are no longer doing social distancing.
As it will just start to get out of control very quickly.

Yep, the worrying thing is how long people will stay disciplined.

    26% healthcare workers.

That's actually not so good then.

He said they were older tests and by the sounds of it more for modelling.

Tiny number of cases again today.

    Meanwhile 700,000 receiving income supports.

Govt. need to seriously reconsider the current strategy.

If people get a positive impact from our numbers that thankfully are lower than expected where's the problem, each person reaction is different , to many on here just don't want to see the positive in anything

Surely they should be added to the total , that’s a bit odd

It looks like it but quite a low figure out of 6000, it has to be added in later in the week but many of those may have recovered already, hopefully.

    ICU admissions total
    175 admissions to ICU.

    33 people discharged.

    20 have sadly died.

    131 have underlying condition.

You must be joking? If anything, the "tiny" number of cases proves that the current strategy is working.

Still relevant - makes the death ratio lower

They'll be added in but the vast majority would already have recovered and if not they'll be in hospital

We are doing okay thus far but we can't take our guard down. Complacency is a huge enemy.

Someone may ask that question. I'm betting it will George Lee.

Doubt it - probably forgotten the figure already

I assume that is included in the overall total for cases we have now. I think he said this was from 6000 German tests.

Don't be ridiculous. It's because of people who are sitting at home and not mixing in the work place we are keeping this in check.

370 new cases - based on the trajectory of cases over the last few days, our social distancing measures are really having an impact.

are people confident that the "lower" figures we are still getting are down to a success, or is it still a risky figure given low testing rates still?

I don't understand the love of lower %s.it doesn't mean much.
Say you have 1000 cases then 100 so 10% increase. Next days you have 101,102,103, etc. % keeps going down. Actual number keeps going up!

Will anything come of reporting this user's posts for trolling (to give him the benefit of the doubt)?

Countries our size like Denmark and with similar measures to us are seeing similar numbers, so they may well be very plausible.

At a lower rate. Flattening the curve. It's not that hard to understand.

Right, but there's a difference between a human getting sick from eating some raw bat or whatever and your neighbourhood cats (extrapolating yes, but not wildly) being able to pass it to one another and then on to you when you're stroking them..
So....kill the neighbourhood cats now as a pre-emptive measure?

No, but I do think he is correct in saying you always have to be careful before you stroke pussies.
