The first part should read "we discovered a new virus 2 months ago and didn't tell anyone about it until it had already spread all over the world" but they have a point.

Oh wait, 1,024 die on bicycles every-year, no good either.

Let's all walk.... wait... 6,227 pedestrians die every year in the US.

Forget this virus, the US should have shut long ago! Trump has blood on his hands!

I think you might have been on to something there. Maybe your step one could prevent a lot of the cycling and pedestrian deaths.

Fatalities from traffic accidents have been cut in half in California since stay at home measures were introduced.

What did she ask for that those who want the economy reopened are so against though?

Well I haven't heard anyone say that they want the casinos to reopen. They won't until a later stage and for good reason clearly . We are screwed for a good while anyway (not us personally, but the city. Its really terrible the amount of people who are out of work), so our local businesses being able to reopen is a good thing.

Other than a very small number of people tripping on the footpaths, how would 6,227 pedestrian still be killed every year without vehicles and bicycles on the roads?

You would have to ask yourself what kind of individual writes such things as that on social media.
Are these the type of people who should be quoted and listened to?

Pence refusing to self isolate despite his press secretary testing positive. So two positive people in their entourage and neither Pence nor Trump will isolate or even wear a mask, yet they will come out and tell people thats what they need to do.

Hopefully one or both gets a good dose soon and incapacitates them for a while at the very least. Ideally one would give it to the other.

Trump is most definitely in the high risk group too, being in his 70s, overweight and living on a diet of fizzy drinks and maccy d's.

He didn't go to Nam but if he made the ultimate sacrifice now he'd save 10s of thousands of life. Your one and only chance to be a hero Donnie.

Skip to around 58 min for a few words on CV19

He's filing a lawsuit against against Almeda County.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced plans to start letting some businesses reopen starting Friday so it comes as bit of a shock that Almeda County would defy the governor.

Seems he will probably be moving shop to Texas, a state of similar size with
35,390 confirmed cases; 973 deaths from a population of 30million.

Is that "billionaire" Elon Musk who is in self imposed quarantine but wants everyone else to get back to work?

I used to have great respect for Elon a few years ago but ever since his Star Link sats populated the sky I have gone off him.

All he cares about is enriching himself and hoovering up government supports. He was warned about insider trading only last year and had to step down from his role in the company but did it again last week in a tweet where he dropped about 15% off the value of the company by tweeting about how its overpriced. Has he ever backed any significant project with his own funds or is it all grants and stocks.

I see how this works, better attack their character than the actual arguments made.

If a rich, famous, smart person argues to open up it: it's for self-enrichment
If a Joe Shmuck says it : Why would you listen to them
If a scientist says it: Discredited

Do you seriously believe Musk is this short-sighted?

His Giga factory in China has been open since February.

You're talking absolute nonsense! He had to chose what companies to save after the 2008 financial crisis. He's trying to help and improve the world around him and him being a billionaire is a by product of his companies success. He says as much below in Rogan's podcast and Tesla also repaid the capital grant they received after the financial crash with interest but, keep hating it's what a lot of people like to do on the internet because they've nothing better to do with their time.

Large farms? Hauling large amounts of goods for the Ranch? hauling the family?

If you are suggesting small penis size... perhaps you should investigate...;)

All of his companies are technically broke and survive on the whims of investor confidence. He claims not to take a salary as such but has taken a total of $61 million in mortgages over 5 homes. A very frugal existence it must be said. Then he had the episode of insider trading and the latest tweet which would have made a stock buy back very attractive to him if he can now manage to convince people that he will now meet another set of targets which he then fails to meet. But its all for the good of mankind, sending people to mars will save the human race.

Surely you're not implying that has anything to do with Covid-19?
The reason for the abrupt halt was not immediately clear but Chinese technology news site 36kr reported that it was because of component shortages.

That is the most ridiculous accusation I have heard in a long time.

The context of that tweet was that people like you were criticizing his wanting to reopen as self-enrichment.

He took to twitter to say that Tesla was over-priced and lost 15% of his company as a big '****-you' to those people. Lucky guy to have genuine '****-you' money.

Then those people call it insider trading. You couldn't make it up.

You cannot publicly comment on the stock of a company you are promoting in a way which can affect the stock price. He got reprimanded last year for the very same type of messing so its hardly a baseless accusation

When people condemn Trump-Pence for not wearing masks, they need to understand that they (the administration) have pretty much been taking their lead from Dr.Fauci from the get-go and his stance on masks is (ignore the 'Masks are Bull****' header):

Fauci has gone into self isolation and quarantine due to people in the WH orbit testing positive. If Trump and Pence are truly following his lead, they will be doing the same.

    Let's see if they do.

Nice shifting of the goalposts there I never mentioned anything about the environment. Fairly sure you and everyone in this thread has flown via air travel so you might want to come down off that high horse. I'd hazard a guess and say that you'd do the exact same to avoid the mental LA if you could afford to.
